Mono Red Aggro for an Origins Standard Format.

This is basically your typical run at Mono Red aggro, but it shares a few key differences from Joel Larsson's Pro Tour list, and that is the inclusion of 4x Titan's Strengths. Titan's Strength has one downside, and that is you cannot aim it at your opponent, but with all of the burn in this deck I don't think we're particularly worried about. Instead, I want to focus on the positive things Titan's Strength brings to the table:

  1. It enables Prowess for 1 Mana.
  2. When you do use it on an unblocked creature, it's a Standard Lightning Bolt.
  3. When you use it on a blocked creature, you can trade (so it acts like pseudo removal). Keep in mind it is still triggering prowess.
  4. It allows you to scry, which gives Mono Red some necessary draw fixing. Between Titan's Strength and Abbot, Mono Red is becoming a much more consistent deck than it has been over the last year of Standard.

The other main board creature that was not in Joel Larsson's list was Frenzied Goblin. Frenzied Goblin really allows us to get in on strategies that are only playing one or two creatures on the board at a time (Midrange especially) but it also allows us to get in a bit more damage than we would otherwise. This puts the opponent closer to burn range, which our variety of spells will then take care of. Not very good in 4 of's, but definitely a better draw then Firedrinker Satyr later in the game if we are struggling.
