"I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears , and sweat"
1940, Prime Minister Churchill presenting this deck to the House of Commons
This is a combo deck built around Harmless Offering and Riptide Chimera and the synergies of those two cards with some dangerous enchantments that I can either give the opponent to lock or win the game or return to my hand to gain value or avoid heavy drawbacks.
All comments, suggestions, critics are welcome!
Particularly, any help to thin the maybeboard, to build a decent sideboard and to build correctly the mana base would be awesome.
CORE:
The main win-con this deck aims to use is to offer a Demonic Pact the turn its last good option is chosen, wining us the game at the start of opponent's upkeep. Yeah... lets DP our opponent. Shall we?
The other powerful combo in this deck is offering a Blood Funnel to the opponent as soon as turn 3. In order to do so you need to play the Funnel and then Bloodghast sacrificing right away to play Harmless Offering. This, if landed, effectively locks the game against decks relying mostly on spells.
To protect these first two key interactions we have Mausoleum Wanderer, Thoughtseize and Inquisition of Kozilek that are supposed to be played turn one. Note that Bloodghast and Nether Traitor trigger the Wanderer's +1/+1 effect, strengthening the protection it provides to the combos.
In order to avoid an unlucky DPact suicide, if Harmless Offering is countered, discarded or simply not in hand, we pack 4 Riptide Chimeras to get that demonic pact back in our hand the turn we choose the last good option. This chimera also happens to be 3/4 flying for 3cmc, which is nice.
The Riptide Chimeras also work with Trial of Ambition, Trial of Knowledge and Reality Acid, giving us recurring destruction in enemy ranks, a lot of draw.
