I would start by taking out the Terramorphic Expanse as two colour decks don't really need them, and if you have any available add some multicolour lands. I'd also add more Vampire Nighthawk and Stromkirk Captain . You should consider putting in some Vampire Nocturnus and Guul Draz Assassin (for removal). If you want check out my deck, (Kind of) Aggro Vampires

Actually, I think I built this deck after looking at yours. The Terramorphic Expanse almost feels like a reminder that I need to get the multicolored lands. The only reason I excluded Vampire Nocturnus is because of this fixed BBB mana cost and the fact that the buff only works if it's a black card, which seems like a petty concern. The Guul Draz Assassin was a definate thought I had, but it seems like he's liable to get greased before he can be levelled up enough. I'm definately going to plug another Vampire Nighthawk in, two when I get a hold of a few more split colored lands.

I will definately have to take a hard-eyeballin' at your deck again. Thanks a ton for the suggestions.

Thanks for this deck and the explanation! Your vampire deck build gave me a lot of ideas and inspired me to build one vampire deck of my own! Please let me know if you have any advice?

I'm almost amazed at genuine positive feedback. Cynicism ahoy!

Anyways, I appreciate the plus. Most vampire deck I've seen run heavily in black and justifiably so. Vampire Nocturnus , Gatekeeper of Malakir and Vampire Nighthawk are the dominating forces in those decks and mono-black in general. Splashing red opens up more options for direct spot removal and for counter generation provided by red vampires like Falkenrath Marauders or Markov Blademaster which can create another tone to your deck.

Overall, I'd say the most important thing is being able to strike quickly vampires and have the early creatures to do it. Try searching for the few anti-vampire decks floating on this site to see what counter-measures you made need.

If you have any specific questions, I'll try to answer them effectively.

You're right, I should but miss Olivia into the deck, but I just haven't gotten around to snagging a copy of the card yet. I'm still mulling over what all I need to pack into my sideboard so I can finalize the further modifications to the deck. Thanks for the +1!
