Bloodfull Extort
Summary
This is my extortion deck that I use in my multiplayer group. This is an upgraded version of the deck that I physically have by changing the land base to have
Godless Shrine and
Marsh Flats. This deck wins 90% of games in my current circle with games that last around 10 to 12 turns against four opponents. My goal is to improve this deck even more, so when it comes in contact with more powerful decks it can stand a chance.
Strategies
The overall strategy is to cause the opponents to lose a lot of life and gain that life back at the same time. This usually involves Crypt Ghast to come into play so I can ramp up the black mana to extort or use Debt to the Deathless in one shot. Pontiff of Blight helps ramp the amount of instances of extort I have so I can extort more times when playing little cards like Thrull Parasite and Tithe Drinker.
We also have a great infinite combo in this deck. Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond
or Defiant Bloodlord + Exquisite Blood
. You gain life then, an opponent loses life, then you gain life and it loops around. This wipes out everyone in multiplayer and with enough mana from Crypt Ghast this can be a surprise assault.
Control
High Priest of Penance, Anguished Unmaking, Riot Control and Merciless Eviction are my control cards to make sure that I can continue doing what I'm doing. Obzedat's Aid helps bring back stuff frome the grave if necessary. Riot Control can be paired with Sanguine Bond and/or Defiant Bloodlord for protection and a hit to the opponent. Against token decks or in multiplayer this usually wipes someone out. Since most of these cards are cheap to play, extorting with them is also an option.
A nice method to wipe the board and keep Crypt Ghast is to swing with it (or destroy with High Priest of Penance), play Merciless Eviction to exile the rest, and bring back the Ghast with Obzedat's Aid.
Fastest Play
- Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
- Land
- Land, Vampire Nighthawk
- Land, Crypt Ghast
- Land, Sanguine Bond, Exquisite Blood, Swing with Vampire Nighthawk.
This is a turn five win in any game, single or multiplayer. As long as you can grab a Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth by any turn and have two swamps by turn three it will always work out without needing all swamps.
Thank you for checking out my deck. If you have any advice I would love to here it.
