Bloodstained Under-Growth - Retired

Unformat* Aggro

Schuesseled

Sideboard

ku xlarge

Fast paced undying aggro deck featuring copious amounts of creature removal.

Entirely designed by Schuesseled

Aggressive aggro deck, drop creatures and swing away. If forced into a defensive position, large amounts of removal are recommended for use as a means of getting back on the offensive.

Default Set-Up is as a Counter-Aggro Aggro Deck.

An aggro deck designed to lay an unholy beat-down on other aggro decks, with sideboard materials intended for use against specific cards. As well as for re-tooling the deck when matched with non-aggro opponents.

Playtests are welcomed and encouraged.

Card Choices:

4 Arbor Elf - Ramp is great way to speed up the pace of an aggro deck, and green mana is easier to get on the first turn so i prefer it over the decent blue or black one drops.

4 Young Wolf - This card would need to be rare if it had haste

4 Scavenging Ooze - This card is an okay turn two play, and is super strong if the game stalls for a while.

4 Strangleroot Geist - These guys are the core of the entire deck, when these rotate everything is gonna go straight down the poop shoot.

4 Dreg Mangler - This should be a rare, super underrated.

2 Varolz, the Scar-Striped - This guy is an amazing finisher, and a strong early play, 5 stars from me.

3 Vorapede - This horrible monstrosity is everything this deck tries to emulate.

4 Rancor - OP Card FTW

3 Rapid Hybridization - One mana destroy spell! (best not used on Doomed Traveler)

2 Abrupt Decay - I think this card is great for this deck, and a lot of others, it has enough kick to justify being in the mainboard, although i'll often side it out, against decks with a higher mana curve.

4 Putrefy - Used to be in the sideboard, but i've brought it over, as there's just so much creature heavy aggro out there in our current meta, that the more destroy spells the better.

Side Choices:

3 Duskmantle Seer - Dusmantle seer, a card overlooked by most players, is really effective against decks that have a higher mana curve than my own. It's that simple. Sided in to humiliate my opponent and his many swagtusks.

2 Glaring Spotlight - I hate Sigarda, Host of Herons. Sided in when hexproof creatures absolutely, positively, need to be killed.

2 Golgari Charm - Regenerate is useful, the tiny board wipe is good for feeding Blood Artist, and being able to get rid of Assemble the Legion is no joke. Sided in to cause mayhem where appropriate.

1 Witchbane Orb - Shuts down a few combos that can best this deck

1 Deadbridge Chant - Provides a little extra reach against control, expanding my scavenge potential, and allowing for reanimation.

4 Spell Rupture - When my opponent, absolutely, positively needs his deck ruptured. Sided in when i want to make my opponent ask for my permission.

2 Pithing Needle - Planeswalker and Olivia Voldaren hate. Sided in when a particular card needs shutting the heck down.

This will probably be my last FNM report on here, as i expect to be moving on :(

Ten Players, four rounds, placed 6th, got no prize, (another generic sad face). Now for the play by play.

Round 1 vs French Flash (2-0): (You don't own the red, white and blue america)

A good start here, i quickly dispatched my opponent, Abrupt Decay ing his snap caster mage closed out the first game, and Vorapede surviving a Supreme Verdict won me the second. No trouble here, sided in counter spells to help off set the control elements of the deck.

Round 2 vs RWB Aristocrats (2-0):

Fantastic, If you've been following this fortnightly drivel then you'll no doubt already be well aware that the guy running this deck has smashed me every FNM in the past two months. But not today with a combination of Scavenging Ooze, a disgusting card for my opponent to see hit the field, and a massive side in of ten cards for round two I was easily able to defeat my nemesis. The second match saw Witchbane Orb (you see it now don't you doubters!) rendering his Blood Artist and Boros Reckoner useless, and Pithing Needle locking down his two Skirsdag High Priest, making them useless 1/2's whilst my army of Vorapede's and Scavenging Ooze destroyed him.

Round 3 vs Esper Flash (0-2):

A disappointing turn of events, Nephalia Drownyard was played heavily in the first match, i was hopeful for a moment when i was able to turn Scavenging Ooze into a 20/20, but my opponents Azorius Charm slapped the grin off my face, lost by mill out. Second match i was able Pithing Needle that damned drownyard, my opponent made a grave mistake which had I been "that guy" could have allowed me to steal the game. (playing Supreme Verdict against my undying army rather than Terminus) but i allowed him to take it back and that decision cost me game two, i could have attacked and killed him the next turn, instead i see Terminus into Supreme Verdict, killing Varolz, the Scar-Striped, then sphinx revelation into ghost dad, who gave me a rowdy good spanking.

Round 4 vs Golgari Zombies / Scavenge (1-2):

Almost a mirror match here, the first game i dominated my opponent, top-decking a Vorapede to guarantee victory. The second match went less well, my opponents Scavenging Ooze was used to good effect at hosing my undying triggers, i could have countered with my own Scavenging Ooze but i was some what lacking in the land department. Blood Artist made his grisly appearance in the second match, so i dug Witchbane Orb out for another go. But alas three mulligans, and 4 rounds before hitting a second land confirmed it was over, mana screwed to death. Witchbane Orb hit the field, but by then it was much too late. GG

Changes to my deck have been very successful despite the drop in placing, Scavenging Ooze and the extra putefry showed what they were made of today, and i can't wait to use them together in Lust for Power after rotation

If you've, assuming there is a "you" reading this, have enjoyed these FNM reports, don't worry about my misleading comment earlier, I'm not retiring, only this deck is. I shall, hopefully, be switching to a five colour sliver deck, and my next FNM will be August 2nd.
