This deck focuses on early-to-midrange threats and attacking the hand. Bloodchief Ascension and Quest for the Nihil Stone provide a life buffer and a quick, non-creature clock, respectively. Finishers are Malakir Bloodwitch and the two quests.

This change is useful against decks whose creatures just flat-out stomp this deck's. More emphasis is placed on the enchantments, which now become the main win condition; after this sideboard, the Sign in Bloods should be used more aggressively, as they can both help activate Bloodchief Ascension, and provide 2 cards for them to discard after it becomes activated

Note: Against decks running white, Malakir Bloodwitch stays in and the Terminate and Lightning Bolt counts are dropped by one.
