Bloody Hydras (Standard MTG Deck)

After some trial and error settled in on a nice little combo to stall and form an offensive until the hydras can come out to play. This combo relies on Varolz, the Scar-Striped so I might also consider getting another 2 of them in case, the combo is quite simply a Bloodrush --> Scavenge combo. This will allow for unexpected bursts of damage as well as buffing smaller creatures in the deck with Varolz's scavenge ability, and since scavenge is dependent on the power of a creature and bloodrush creatures tend to have good power relative to their CMC (I'm looking at you Scorchwalker ) the combo should be quite effective. Not to mention how terrifying bloodrushing Ghor-Clan Rampager or god forbid Skarrg Goliath onto a Savageborn Hydra can be

Expect to see changes soon including the inclusion of more bloodrush ceatures such as Slaughterhorn , Skinbrand Goblin and the aformentioned Scorchwalker . Maybe even an appearance from the mighty Skarrg Goliath and Rubblehulk

More updates from an FNM, Rakdos was proving too difficult to play (red and black are not heavy enough in this deck) so it has been removed. While Dreg Mangler has been proving quite effective. The inclusion of a maybe board is now certain and a lot of changes are now needed for the sideboard after getting thumped by a reanimator deck. At the moment Crypt Incursion has been added to deal with that problem but I intend to eventually replace it with either Rakdos Charm and/or Slaughter Games which will get rid of their entire graveyard or specific reanimator spells entirely. Skylasher has also been added for some anti-blue and Putrefy for instant creature removal and anti-regen.

The maybe board now contains potential variation cards such as Slitherhead and Slaughterhorn (replaced in main by Wasteland Viper and dreg mangler respectively)
