I just want to build a merfolk deck in pioneer, and I remember the fun I had in Ixalan standard with blue green merfolk - one of my favorite standard decks of all time. I love the feel of Kumena, Tyrant of Ozarca, but I don't know if he's too slow in this format... can you imagine sitting around with 5 merfolk and waiting to block and tap five to put counters on them all? I'm just not sure... but I want to work on it. Also, I love tempo decks. We'll see.

I basically want to play blue tempo without being the normal spirits version everyone plays... and I love merfolk... thinking about just mono blue merfolk, too ... for more countermagic.
