the basic purpose of the deck is to starve my enemy of a hand and of creatures on the battlefield, crushing whatever plans he had and making him easy to dispose of afterward. Siren of the Silent Song contributes to damage and starves the enemys hand. Thoughtseize is a perfect early game card as it allows me to get rid of one of the key cards of my enemys deck, making it more effective than other cards that force enemys to get rid of a card. brain magot works just as well as a way to starve my opponent of options and stradegy. Phenax, God of Deception works not for his mill ability but for the tap, as creatures such as King Macar, the Gold-Cursed and Siren of the Silent Song , other cards that function in this way are Claim of Erebos , Retraction Helix which also works well for heroic abilities such as on Agent of the Fates which clears the board of enemy creatures, and Ashiok's Adept which clears their hands, Triton Tactics also works for heroic and inspired as it forces an untap, finally there is the Witches' Eye which allows for repeated inspired use. King Macar, the Gold-Cursed is one of the best cards in the deck as it not only gives me extra mana to use as i see fit, but it also clears the field of any enemies. Fate Unraveler's purpose is to make the opponents life more difficult, as at this point the enemy desperately needs cards to play, however Fate Unraveler causes this to be a painful experience as well. Dictate of Erebos is a cruel card to play, as it causes my enemy to loose any and all creatures they managed to get on the field everytime they manage to kill one of my guys. Aspect of Gorgon makes my most valuable creatures near unkillable as they have deathtouch and a much higher defense and Aqueous Form makes my inspired creautures unblockable allowing for much more damage to the enemy overtime, as well as additional clearing of the battlefield or my enemy's hand. finally Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver gives me the oppertunity to mill the ememies deck of creatures giving me more offensive and defensive weapons as i continue to starve them, and her -10 allows me to clear their hand of all creatures as well as their graveyards, saving me from any return to the battlefield spells and giving me many more options for putting down more creatures with her -X.
