Does Oath give us viable cards?

Bone Saw for our unblockable creatures.Dimensional Infiltrator to keep up counters and still be able to develop pressure. Maybe a Stratus Dancer split. If we play Shivan Reefs and/or Yavimaya Coasts we can even return it to hand or exile revealed cards.Jwar Isle Avenger is really good as a 3/3 flyer for 4 (with a one drop).Gift of Tusks to boost our unblockable creatures or neutralize their creatures.

For straight blue. More counters. Overwhelming Denial is good for defensive counters, and also Abstruse Interference, a turn 3 counter that adds ramp for a future 5 mana Surge to cast Crush of Tentacles for an 8/8 octopus that wipes the board to then follow up with more counters and returns to keep the board clear for a round or two. Much prefered than whirler rogue I think. The fact that the ETB and face up creatures and Mockeries would be reset would be a nice bonus.

Mirrorpool can add more ETB creatures or just more Shorecrashers, all on opponent's turn. You can also dupe counters to win counter duels.

Blue/White has better ETB with Eldrazi Displacer and Reflector Mage. Displacers can go with any ETB deck, which is partly what this is. Adds not just ETB, but evasion to every creature you control. Very fun idea. Scary to face it though. Not a spell and can't be countered. Much better than the drake.

I haven't used this deck for a while (my blue-white version) but with a card that came out in the new set, I have to bring it back to FNM. It's another reason this deck needs to splash white to be competitive. That card of course is Reflector Mage. The Mirror Mockery with it just makes this deck insane. So here is my W/U Bastard Blue Deck that I think is going to crush it tomorrow:

MAIN--------
4 Faerie Miscreant
3 Gudul Lurker
4 Stratus Dancer
4 Reflector Mage
4 Shorecrasher Elemental
2 Thunderclap Wyvern
3 Whirler Rogue
4 Mirror Mockery
4 Negate
2 Scatter to the Winds
3 War Horn

2 Flooded Strand
15 Island
2 Meandering River
4 Prairie Stream

SIDEBOARD-------
4 Dispel
4 Horribly Awry
3 Reality Shift
4 Singing Bell Strike

I'm thinking Treasure Cruise has a place in the deck also since it is aggro and a board wipe will lose you the game. Anyway, take a look at my variation of this deck:

I'm working on a slightly bigger version of this deck that curves up to Icefall Regents, more pure tempo than weenie. I'm sticking to monoblue, but if you're on the U/W train I'd consider Vryn Wingmares and Monastery Sieges in your 75 for a "Death & Taxes" angle against control. Wingmare curves right into Thunderclap Wyvern and will let you extend into sweepers that much farther while also getting the +1/+1 and putting its stats back on curve.

Profaner of the Dead belongs in the sideboard somewhere, it does serious work against tokens and aggro. Especially combined with Mirror Mockery.

I built this U/B/W Mockery deck specifically to deal with 4-Color Rally. It's been testing pretty solidly so check it out and chime in. Could use some help with spells and sideboard to bring it to it's full potential. :)

Would dance of the skywise work well in this deck?

B-HO_BHO says... #9

@DjangozxIt wouldn't be terrible if your really trying to push for more damage, but that's a lot of investment for extra damage. You're creatures are already evasive and don't have giant targets on their backs for removal. Doing so gives your opponent more to reason to interact with you. That said, you get some additional counterplay.

@B-HO_BHOApologies if im not commenting properly. Im a bit new to this site. I guess Dance of the Skywise would only be good in the sideboard then? Although there are counters, I was thinking more along the lines of being able to block and trade with Dragonlord Ojutai if needed. Thank you for your feedback. :)

Dance of the Skywise can turn your 2/2 land creature with no evasion in a 4/4 potentially unblockable. So yes, it is a good card if you have it at the right time. But best used in a deck with weak prowess creatures, or low cost blockers, or the weanie zephyr which untaps after playing the spell to give make it a 4/4 with vigilance, or a 4/4 surprise blocker. Gift of Tusks can also be used on a faerie or lurker after blockers declared to hit for two damage. Not bad for 1 blue mana, but not good for card effiency. Must have a secondary spell trigger. Quiet Contemplation for example adds tapping to every noncreature spell you have. Very fun card.

well done sphinx, glad you did well, djangosz against dragonlord ojutai the best play is flash in harbinger of the tides before damage, dance of the skywise doesnt keep the advantage on your side for long

The spoilers of SOI are there. Unfortunately, I do not see real substitution for Singing Bell Strike and Reality Shift. Claustrophobia is expensive for 3 mana, but may be ok. But what about instant removal?

I don't suppose you would consider resetting comments? It's incredibly annoying to scroll this long on mobile.

I think the best blue way to remove a creature instantly is return it to opponent's hand. However, if you have some creatures you may try Turn to Frog. How good will it be to block 10/10 indestructible lifelink first strike trample or whatever with just a 2/2 and win a fight? =)

I think Westvale Abbey  Flip will be a good addition to the deck.

Stitched Mangler may be good with Mirror Mockery. Some say it is the mono-blue Reflector Mage.

Uninvited Geist  Flip seems fun. Hit with a hard to block creature and then flip into an unblockable creature.

What do you think of my deck? It's also monoblue, but control instead of aggro.

Also, thanks for the idea of Shorecrasher Elemental, never saw that thing! +1
