The deck attempts to win by many different themes. The main goal is to get the planeswalker's out, and ability the opponent to death. Bolas is the star of the deck.

Essentially it ramps with the defenders. Gatecreeper Vine to deck thin and land pull, Axebane Guardian to mana pump for whatever, whenever. Doorkeeper as a bonus to keep the opponent on their toes if needed. Tree of Redemption is a back up plan, but fits the defender theme. Ludevic's Test Subject   is just to add a little fun if the game runs long and make sure the opponent isn't focusing too much on your planeswalkers.

The 3 planeswalkers: Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker, Chandra, the Firebrand , and Jace, Architect of Thought all pretty much play to a different strength but do so well together, drawing fire for different reasons.

The decks goal is chaos and devastation with the planeswalkers, only to surprise them with a sudden use of Door to Nothingness or a flip of Ludevic's Test Subject  .
