This is a Cruel Grixis Control deck, a bit heavy on the blue. Discard, counter and remove your opponent's cards while drawing cards, cycling through the top of your deck and filling your graveyard with cards. As our win condition, play spells that benefit from instants and sorceries being cast or in your graveyard, or that allow you to grab your opponent's creatures or planeswalkers from their graveyard.

Mainboard:

Thought Erasure is good all around removal that also fills our graveyard with spells.

Bedevil is our solid versatile removal spell covering creatures, planeswalkers, and artifacts.

Cast Down and Lava Coil provide relatively efficient cheap creature removal.

Cry of the Carnarium and Ritual of Soot are our mass creature removal spells.

Sinister Sabotage , Essence Scatter and Negate are our main counterspells to stall with.

Chemister's Insight and Search for Azcanta   functions as synergizing recurring card advantage.

Mission Briefing allows us to cast an instant or sorcery from our graveyard.

Nicol Bolas, the Ravager   is our main planeswalker that gives us massive card advantage, the ability to nab creatures and planeswalkers from graveyards, and more.

Ral, Izzet Viceroy provides card advantage while filling our graveyard, while giving us an alternate win con and combo based on casting instants and sorceries.

Jaya Ballard provides further card advantage and graveyard filling, with an ultimate that gives us the ability to cast instants and sorceries from our graveyard, further combing with everything else.

Sarkhan, Fireblood provides some card advantage, ramp and an alternate win con while supporting a dragon sub-theme.

Sideboard:

Unmoored Ego removes your opponents threats and key cards.

Duress provides efficient removal for control matchups.

Vraska's Contempt doesn't hurt to have for planeswalker heavy matchups.

Niv-Mizzet, Parun gives us a card advantage and direct damage engine that combos with much of the rest of the deck, and is especially strong in control matchups.

The Eldest Reborn provides further creature and planeswalker removal, discard, and control from graveyard.
