You may want to add Doom Blade instead of Smother

I can't see any reason why, MooneBoyIrish. Doom Blade can't target black creatures but Smother can target any creature in tiny leaders + it can't be regenerated.

Oh I didn't realise that you had to have creatures that are 3 mana cost or lower

What about Drown in Sorrow as a budget replacement for Toxic Deluge? It's quite pricey.

I don't mind having more posts if they are on topic, like these are :) Those are solid options, nothing supers special but if there are some card someone doesn't like, those could work as an replacement for sure. Personally I don't like infect cards, thus Priests of Norn is out. Otherwise it would definitely be in this deck. Vigilance + 4/4 infect for 3 is great value.

And I'm actually battling with a same problem as you are right now. My firends aren't that convinced yet to build their own Tiny leaders decks so I haven't bought card for this deck yet either :/

Priests of Norn could synergize with Necroskitter, at least it's more likely to happen than in a commander deck, so it's worth a thought.

If you want to go down that road you could think about Juvenile Gloomwidow (3/3, reach, wither for 2) or Cystbearer (3/3, infest for 3).

If there more black creatures in there Corrosive Mentor combined with Necroskitter could be nice, but this might already be off-topic ;-)

I did use Priests of Norn because i didn't have the other cards. (the infection wasn't that useful) but my big budget cards came in the mail yesterday. so I'm all ready to go with my more expensive version (thanks to the legacy cards) that i've collected over the years. I will be attending a tiny leader tourny this Saturday. wish me luck, and do better than #4 :Dtip, if you see sword of meek, staff of domination, ring of brighttheearth, basalt monolith.... be prepare to counter them asap. I got hit by the infinite mana/life combo.

Went 3-1 today. so placed in the top 4, not too bad. was beaten senselessly by a Geist of Saint Traft deck. One of the round that I won unexpectedly was against a red burn deck, that used Chaos Warp on my leader. I still managed to win as I chipped him away with my Skinshifter.
The lost against the Geist was due to 2 enchantments he put on his Geist with flying double strike vigilance.....don't remember the cards...but i was exhausted.... going to bed.

What's your thoughts on Warden of the First Tree?

Katsudon, hmm. For some reason I didn't receive any notification about your last message and I only saw it now after shadowbndg commented. Seems like your games could have gone either way. A bit of deckluck and you might have taken it. Maybe more (non-creature) removal? Or more protection for Doran?

shadowbndg, personally I think it doesn't have a place in this deck. Only thing that matched is the colors. No advantages from thoughness and way too slow to play. Still, thanks for suggesting

shadowbndg, I actually like Grim Contest. It has potential.

There is couple of reasons why I don't have a sideboard. 1. I have yet not played a single game of Tiny Leaders. I'm not completely sure what kind of meta should I be consider here. 2. I also play almost completely casual with my friends. All meta has already been taken in and we don't use sideboards so I don't have that much experience of even using sideboards. That said, I have tried to make this deck pretty versitale on its own already.

I gladly take suggestions about possible sideboard cards but then I also would like to know why they would be worth putting there.

I've only played a few games myself so unfortunately I have no idea what the common decks are. The ones I have faced though are Rhys the Redeemed decks, Geist of Saint Traft, and Teysa, Orzhov Scion

As far as I can tell Tokens seem to be the big thing though don't take my word on that.

So...maybe cards that can kill all those? Bile Blight, Black Sun's Zenith, Toxic Deluge, Illness in the Ranks? I know some of those aren't budget and you've stated you weren't going to put them in for that reason. Of course, cards that are goods against certain decks are always good. Mirran Crusader, Crown of Awe and whatever else there is.

I know Spencerbot15 mentioned it above, but I think Treefolk Harbinger may be a good addition. At worst it's a turn one 0/3 that pulls a land to the top of the library, but it could also retrieve Doran from the library later if he gets shuffled into it.
