DeeLight Smother is already in this deck. Flaying Tendrils is a good call though. I'll definitely go with that.

Luutamo Whoops! It's so early I must have missed it for some reason...
Alright, have you come across Orzhov Keyrune? Lifelink, mana dork, fairly flexible; I think on it because Forbidding Watchtower sparked the thought.

DeeLight Maybe, possibly. But the same problem exist once again: if I add that, what do I take out?

Jaddi Offshoot? If played first turn it's a 3/3 that gains you life, pretty solid card IMHO. +1 great deck!

Life gain is nice, but if you notice everything else in the deck can attack. I think the point it to have big butts and attack with them, rather than have them just mingling on your side waiting for your opponent to attack into you.

What would you suggest adding to make it not so much budget friendly? I have about $200 dollars to build a Tiny leaders deck and would like to use this as my commander. Not sure if you would even be interested in answering this question.

Cards I cam across in looking for good-stuff for the deck:
Scholar of Athreos, Village Bell-Ringer, Palace Guard
And have to ask why Assault Formation isn't already in here.
Otherwise I love what you've done with this and would definitely enjoy some advice on my own tiny leader deck (which I will have posted soon once I've finalized the cards I'm using.

AverageDragon don't think it's worth it. Or can you say what card it should replace?

Luutamo Are you getting much use out of Eidolon of Countless Battles?
February 20, 2016 12:08 p.m.
AverageDragon, definitely, 100%, much better than Tireless Tribe.

Luutamo I think Vile Aggregate would be a good card for this deck.

Hey man, sorry if these have been suggested already. I haven't read all the comments. Since you are still $11 from your $50 ceiling, how about a copy of Courser of Kruphix?? She was a house in standard and still great in multiple formats. Also for a cheapo beater, Vampire Nighthawk seems like an auto add, right? Three mana for three damage, lifelink, flying, AND deathtouch... That's better than "wither" any day in my book. +1 from me and I will be putting this together with the aforementioned changes. Also, on a totally different note, could you go show my newish deck some love? Trying to hit 200 votes! Primal Devotion CAST YOUR DECK ON T3
Again, solid deck, keep it up!

I know you trying to go without Defenders but Souls of the Faultless is a good one.

I know you do not like Black Sun's Zenith. But with Black Sun's Zenith+Necroskitter you get a lot of the opponent creatures.
March 18, 2016 7:20 p.m.
danipt you can also lose your own and if you lose Necroscitter, you don't get anything. So most likely you wouldn't get that much.
March 19, 2016 7:06 a.m.
Luutamo Actually, necroskitter has a replacement effect. If you zenith higher than his toughness, you still get all of the opponent's monsters who died while it was there.
603.6d Normally, objects that exist immediately after an event are checked to see if the event matched any trigger conditions. Continuous effects that exist at that time are used to determine what the trigger conditions are and what the objects involved in the event look like. However, some triggered abilities must be treated specially because the object with the ability may no longer be on the battlefield, may have moved to a hand or library, or may no longer be controlled by the appropriate player. The game has to "look back in time" to determine if these abilities trigger. Leaves-the-battlefield abilities, abilities that trigger when a permanent phases out, abilities that trigger when an object that all players can see is put into a hand or library, abilities that trigger specifically when an object becomes unattached, abilities that trigger when a player loses control of an object, and abilities that trigger when a player planeswalks away from a plane will trigger based on their existence, and the appearance of objects, prior to the event rather than afterward.
Example: Two creatures are on the battlefield along with an artifact that has the ability "Whenever a creature is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, you gain 1 life." Someone plays a spell that destroys all artifacts, creatures, and enchantments. The artifact's ability triggers twice, even though the artifact goes to its owner's graveyard at the same time as the creatures.

Perhaps Smother instead of Go for the Throat? Just a whole lot more effective in this format. Also two bucks cheaper (And keeping it cheap is always so much nicer isn't it?)
As for newer cards that came out, I could recommend Flaying Tendrils instead of Drown in Sorrow. Same cost, same effect, but whatever it kills is gone for good, which to me, justifies the lack of scry.
