I've been thinking about what one might play directly on opponent's turn 2 when you have only one mana: Gigadrowse. How to play it? Possibilty 1: Tap the one land an opponent has during their upkeep. This would work for normal lands, not fetchlands. Possibility 2: Tap any creature put on the table on turn 1 by opponent or tap any creature with haste which will probably come on turn 2. Gigadrowse also works OK in later stages of the game, buying you one turn.
What I would also like to mention: maybe use Remand for a non-budget version deck instead of the Mana Leak.
Hope my suggestions help :)

Meaning it is indeed less budget, but it isn't something you really need

@Programmer_112 I'm glad you like it but unfortunately the Spell Pierce's are a little expensive, so I'm getting Stubborn Denial instead. I plan on building the deck once I'm satisfied that it's complete and perfect.
.
@dreykodoon :
Gigadrowse actually looks really awesome and inexpensive in mana and money. The replicate effect is especially awesome when you are trying to stabilize right after the Archivist triggers and you need a turn to fully stabilize. It looks like another good card to beat red so I definitely want it in. Any suggestions of what I can pull for it? I'm thinking Surging AEther and then sideboard this card, but I definitely wouldn't mind mainboarding it for game 1 if you have an idea of what to pull.

Sorry dreykodoon, but Gigadrowse wasn't as good in playtesting as I was hoping. It's good, but not quite good enough. Unfortunately they can always tap lands in response to our Gigadrowse and still have mana on turn 1. It's good during their upkeep, but usually they don't have mana to tap then, or it's just 1 mana that I could have bounced with a bounce spell instead of this card.
It was a good suggestion, but it just clashes a little bit too much with the rest of the deck. Thanks for the suggestion though, keep em coming because I want this deck to be modern competitive for less than $20.

Have you considered Howling Mine in a more non-budget version?

mansfordm: I have actually considered Howling Mine for a non-budget and it is definitely the card to play because of the 2 mana cost. The flash of Dictate of Kruphix is irrelevant. This deck is so full of cmc=3 bounces that turn 2 is a much better turn to be playing drawpower.
I kept this version budget though, but in the version of this deck I'm actually going to build, Boomerangs with a Splash of White, I did include it, but if you are going to go for a less budget, Trinisphere is much more important. I know I said the cmc=3 slot is too full already, but the extreme power of Trinisphere at shutting the opponent completely out of the game is worth it. Howling Mine fortunately plays excellently around Trinisphere because a turn 2 Howling Mine highly increases the chances of a turn 3 Trinisphere, and a turn 3 Trinisphere is game.
GlistenerAgent: A splash of red for Blood Moon would make this deck immune to its biggest threat: fetchlands. It's too good not to run in non-budget, but way too expensive otherwise. Unfortunately there aren't any good similar cards, but I like your thinking. Do you know of any similar cards that could work, like ones that read "fetchlands cannot be used"?

Squelch if that's your thing. Shadow of Doubt is also cool.

Ooh, I like those. Thanks!
Unfortunately they are a little too expensive to add here, but I'll add them to the budgetless version.

Hmmm. I'll have to consider it, but I don't think it will work well with Jace's Archivist. Do you have a list on Tapped Out so I can playtest it? It certainly sounds cool.

Hey awesome deck! Have you considered Kami of the Crescent Moon? I know it's easier to remove than something like Howling Mine but even so I think the flexibility is nice :D

Have you tried Riftwing Cloudskate? I find it useful in place of a 3 mana bounce, since once you start filtering through the deck, mana can be tight, and it helps you catch back up on bouncing when you may not have the mana to cast Regress or Resounding Wave.

Wow... I haven't looked at this deck in forever. I don't think I'll make any changes to it because sentimentality, I guess, but Riftwing Cloudskate could work fairly well in here.

Whoa yeah idk how I've never seen trinisphere before. I'm definitely making your non budget version, which is still extremely budget imo. Ive been trying to save up for a play set of mox opals and that makes even trinisphere look super cheap. Plus like I said I love howling mine. Will definitely be following your other version further. Main area of improvement I would have to agree on would be Jace's Archivist and possibly finding another win condition as I could see him getting removed easily or the opponent finding a way through...but he's so cohesive with the strategy it just seems right. Will post any further win-con suggestions on your better list.

This deck is so cool, I think I'm going to build it soon. Actually I'm trying to build my first modern deck (without selling a poor student kidney) but I'm still uncertain between this and a mono red burn I found and a bit modifyed. Which would be the most "competitive"? (I mean for almost casual playing and maybe some FNM). I really like blue and its tricky things

This deck is more of a troll deck than anything. It is not competitive and is quite Jank. If you want to anger people, then play this, but if you would like to actually win a game on occasion, then go for the burn.
February 7, 2016 12:09 p.m.
I made this deck. I thought that the fun coming from this would be too much to bother about competitiveness. I found a card that may be useful, Twitch. Please give me your opinion. I know it doesn't actually bounce, but you can tap a land as soon as it untaps in the upkeep (I found myself in this situation: little cards in hand, and opponent able to play his second land). Actually I don't know what can replace, just a card I found
