1st, 2x Blind Obedience vs aggro

2nd, 4x Abrupt Decay vs aggro or for almost any reason. So good.

3rd, 3x Rest in Peace vs reanimator

4th 3x Sin Collector vs control

5th 3x Pithing Needle vs specific cards

I'm not sure about R.I.P, as it turns off Voice, so Ground Seal would probably be better

Thanks for the +1s and comments. I've assembled the sideboard as per your suggestions.

Perhaps Temple Garden as a 2 of and then 7 Plains ?

June 23, 2013 9:40 p.m.

That's a solid suggestion mbentley6 and totally doable. Thank you. Let me know if you have any other ideas. I did a test match with my reanimator deck earlier today, and the enchantment deck went 2-0.

I think at least one Sigarda, Host of Herons belongs in here

Cavern is so sick with sin collector. Oh snap, I got a white an a green source but no black, cavern, humans, sin collector.

@ApocryphalSaint do u think he should main 1 sigarda or sb one?

Sainted says... #9

personally i think it should be main board. when you ramp creatures like a Avacyn's pilgrim that 5 cmc isn't shit. then when your throwin enchantments on a 5/5 flyer with hexproof its a game finisher after it resolves. they board wipe? cool you Aid that flyer back in and you finish them with the empty board

Sound logic is sound.

I see what ur doing with the land base, and I approve, to a point. I suggest going 4-of on the shocks u want to run, overgrown and godless, then add in basics and possibly gates.

Maybe look at Orzhov Charm ? All three modes would be practical in this deck. Not sure what to remove to make space for it though.

+1 :)

June 24, 2013 9:49 a.m.

So, it's funny that you would say that actiontech because originally there was only a splash of black in this deck FOR Orzhov Charm . Haha. I was running a full playset of them, 'cause I agree: all three clauses synergize with this deck very well. Saving a voice or reckoner and all auras attatched to it, mini reanimating a doomed traveler for extra bodies to enchant, and then even a little spot removal in the mix as well. I ended up taking them out in favor of Putrefy and Obzedat's Aid for more traditional reanimation and spot removal, but honestly I would love to fit a couple charms back in if I could decide the right cards to take out.

Also, ApocryphalSaint: I like your suggestion of incorporating Sigarda, Host of Herons into this deck list. How many would you reccommend putting in and what should I take out?

Thanks again to everyone for your comments and upvotes, please keep them coming! :-)

2 Sigarda's. -1 Doomed Traveler and -1 enchantment. prob Ethereal Armor . my opinion

June 24, 2013 12:41 p.m.

Artemis_Swift says... #15

Agreed on that one. The Ethereal Armor seems like the weekest card in this deck.

June 24, 2013 2:17 p.m.

Damn, you really think so guys? I hesitate to cut an Ethereal Armor simply because I wonder if it weakens the aura theme. Off topic: I was playing against my reanimator deck earlier, and I felt pretty vulderable to flyers (spirit tokens, restos, and serenitys), any thoughts?

I'd hate to back peddle and re-suggest gift of orzhova.

June 25, 2013 9:28 p.m.

Don't you mean, ACTUALLY suggest Gift of Orzhova since you were against them from the beginning? lol.

June 25, 2013 9:51 p.m.

I would maybe rethink your Putrefy relying on only 4 swamp sources in your deck.

Why not just have Pacifism to add another buff enchantment.

I agree putrefy s better, but it's good to be in the habit of having cards you can rely on, and BBBB isnt reliable for an instant-speed spell you want to cast.

Even take out all your black sources to make the rest of your deck more mana reliable. You could then Swap Obzedat's Aid for Advent of the Wurm . 5/5 Flash for 4 with your accelerator is as good as any creature removal against aggro (which between Advent of the Wurm and Boros Reckoner you will have covered) and the Advent of the Wurm will stick around after.

so yes Ethereal Armor should go down one. and you said you felt weak to flyers and I wanted to drag my face on my keyboard cause as i said a while ago. Sigarda, Host of Herons is like warm syrup all over your fat stack of waffles of a deck.

June 27, 2013 7:06 p.m.

Sainted says... #22

cause atm I feel like your going to run into drawing enchantments when you really wanted teh creatures.

June 27, 2013 7:06 p.m.

Hey fellas, I just wanted to let you know that I have DEFINITELY been taking your suggestions under advisement. Last night I got some good playtesting in against my personal play group, and my findings more than reinforced what ya'll have been saying. 1) I do need a better/actual closer and I agree whole heartedly that Sigarda, Host of Herons should fill that void fabulously (not to mention 2 birds with 1 stone take care of the deck's weakness to flyers). I simply need to reacquire a couple copies of her, but I may proxy for further playtesting regardless. 2) I did on more than one occassion have enchantment auras piling up in my hand with no creature bodies to attatch them too; often in the starting hand no less. So that issue will be addressed. 3) I have faced the harsh reality that my lack of significant black mana sources makes the current splash of black unreliable, and furthermore despite my best efforts leaves the mana base wonky and unreliable as well. I would continuously have either black mana sources in my hand when I really need one of the other main colors more, or worse, be sitting on copies of Putrefy and Obzedat's Aid without a single black source in sight. I am very much considering cutting black at this point to go for a more streamlined selesnya build. In particular 'cause I originally only splashed black as a means to take advantage of Orzhov Charm 's fantastic potential for utility in this deck. Since I'm not even currently running that card anymore, it makes the black even easier to cut. It does of course severely limit my control and spot removal options so that is obviously a difficult proposition. Honestly, I'd like to know what you think ApocryphalSaint about me cutting black. Are you on board? Regardless, edits to this deck are coming very soon. I'm still excited and motivated to work on this deck to the point where I feel it is truly competitive in a tournament setting.

I dont think you should Bojuka Bog is a great card in modern for shutting out Reanimate and any form of Graveyad utility decks. your downside i again not have KOTR Knight of the Reliquary in here to play lands at instant speed. I dont think you should cut black I think you need to change your mana base to make black easier to get. AGAINKOTR would fix that problem. Im hinting at something if you hadnt figured that out. Reliquary Devotion My Tournie Modern deck. I even think a 2 drop Orzhov might work. You dont need so many enchantments and more of your creatures need to be the big bad "oh fuck they just played that card. i hate that card" IDK there are lots of things id do.

Later tonight while im at work ill rebuild this deck how id play it and Ill link it for you. Dont have to use it its jsut somethign you might think about

IM AN IDIOT THIS IS STANDARD> . . . ill still make a standard legal decklist for you. I guess ignore my KOTR and Bojuka Bog Comment. STILL dont think you should take out black. i think you should make it a bigger player.
