This is my first attempt at what I call a guilt-free budget commander deck, meaning every card is, as of this writing, under $2 in paper (Reclamation Sage and Sylvan Safekeeper are the only cards that exceed 2 tix, otherwise the rule applies to mtgo as well). This is so that players on a budget don't have to justify dropping $10+ on a single card - I know I have difficulty buying anything over $5. A lot of this deck is bulk as well, so in theory it should be even cheaper.

Basically, the idea is to get Big Borgy on the field as soon as possible and then put lands in hand as consistently as possible to blast your opponent as often as possible. Unfortunately, commander damage is only counted through combat so you'll have to burn through A LOT of lands before dealing the finishing blow. In most situations, it's best just to blast your opponents' creatures and swing in for the commander KO.

I should probably mention the point of the deck is not to win but to have fun with a janky deck and feel like you're actually playing Magic. I have no idea how good/bad/mediocre the deck runs, but it will at least turn a few heads. And hey, if it is that bad, people won't pay attention to you and you can pull off a win with the element of underestimated surprise! That's a thing, right?

Anyway, I'm always open for suggestions on what I should and shouldn't include, though for budget purposes please suggest cards that are under $2, at least for the initial 100 cards. I have a theme going and I'd like to keep it that way. One of the best things about this deck is that it is fairly easy to upgrade with more expensive options, so if you have stuff that out-plays anything in the deck as-is by all means include it. But you don't need me to tell you that. Happy gaming!
