As much as I love two for one-ing myself, I don't think I'll ever make that play.

Don't think of it as a would, just more that you could if you wanted to.

Not sure if I like Song of the Dryads as it gets broken by all sorts of things like Aura Shards etc.

Malicious Affliction is good, but what about Reckless Spite? Is the five life + 1 colourless worse than relying on morbid?

It's more about 2 mana than 3. I'll happily cast Affliction to kill one creature most of the time, and that's fine. If I get upside, great, but I need good two mana removal spells.

I want to test to see how damaging it is for Song to be weak to Enchantment removal. In a bubble I prefer it to Beast Within, because 3/3's are relevant in 1v1.

Have you considered Cannibalize? I know you're buffing one creature but the ability to get rid of something permanently at 2 mana is nice. Or is the +2/+2 that dangerous?

That has with it the problem of requiring two targets. That alone makes it too unwieldy.

Cut Malicious Affliction and put Go for the Throat back in, because the former was actually terrible.

Holy cow, I skimmed through some of the old comments, and I'm glad I did. I was going to make those comments that they all made, but no need. You already know. Is your name just for giggles? Does duel commander use two commanders? I'm not terribly familiar with this version of the format. Also, does Damia just give you card draw? phew so many questions!

Duel Commander is Commander played 1v1 with it's own command list. If it was something like Dual Commander it might use two commanders.

And yeah, Damia is just a late game refill after one for one-ing through the whole game. Just a good way for the control deck to pull ahead.

Is something like Grim Tutor a bit too cute for what you're trying to do? I don't know if it is or not, but it's still an idea.

I was actually thinking about that the other day. I'm not sure if 3 mana is where I want to be for that effect, but I'm not sure.

What advantage does Grim Tutor offer over Demonic Tutor? Or are you just thinking about adding it in place of something else? Why not Vampiric Tutor

It doesn't offer an advantage over Demonic Tutor in any way; it's meant to act as a second version of the card. Vampiric Tutor is also banned in Duel Commander.

No Mystical Teachings?

Mystical Teachings is too expensive.

And yeah Grim Tutor would just be for redundancy, and Vamp Tutor is banned.
