Can't you see the deck?

GareBear says... #3

I can see the deck. This is not Boros.

Boros is white/red not blue/green/black.

There's also not a single card in the deck that reanimates. Point?

ChiefBell says... #6

It's every colour except white or red and it kills things instead of reanimating them.

Boros Reanimator. Makes sense.

I thought playing the deck was the most fun thing about it. But the discussions on this page tickle me to no end.

10/10 would fuck

Dropped Aetherling for Batterskull

Because you got the promo?

March 9, 2014 7:29 p.m.

TurboFagoot says... #10

Because Aetherling has long been the worst card in the deck. Batterskull costs one (Virtually two) less, has much less evasion but has lifelink. I'm hoping it helps the points I've lost to aggro matchups.

But yeah, getting the promo prompted this :3

I've always wondered what this deck actually does.

It's a control deck. Counter spells, kill creatures, generate CA with planeswalkers, kill opponent with 2/1s, planeswalkers, or the one big dumb creature. (Aetherling, now Batterskull)

In my opinion you run entirely too many nonbasic lands. You need color flex, just not that terribly. You are playing in Duel commander: where cards like Ruination will come at you along with the usual Cataclysm and Boom // Bust . I also feel like a Farseek , Nature's Lore and Skyshroud Claim are well worth the slots for how far they can potentially put you ahead. Along those lines Reap and Sow is brutal in duel format especially for grabbing some of those essential nonbasics that you are keeping like Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and Cabal Coffers . But yeah your deck looks like a powerhouse to be reckoned with.

I do prioritize basics when I fetch, so I think 6 is the right amount. Fixing can be difficult sometimes that I wouldn't want to go above that number.

I tried some ramp like Farseek, but it just wasn't strong enough; Birds of Paradise is the only card left to that effect.

I appreciate the suggestions. :)

How has Vraska been working out for you? I used to find him a bit slow.

March 11, 2014 4:49 p.m.

TurboFagoot says... #16

Vraska is amazing in my experience. 5 mana for a Maelstrom Pulse they have to attack into next turn is perfectly fine, full stop. If it has the possibility of immediately going up, or surviving after Pulse, then it's even better. Card can just win games out of nowhere once parity is reached.
