@pyroassassin: PrimeTime is significantly stronger than Vorinclex in this deck.

@TurboFagoot: I'm not gonna question the title, I give up on trying to figure it out, but I do have one question... how do you win?

And I fail to see any reanimation....

This isn't a reanimator deck, so why would you?

I win by connecting with creatures. Either ones in my deck, or generated by the planeswalkers. Damia beats win games eventually. It's a control deck, it grinds out that way.

Also ults like Jace/Karn/Vraska, etc. have won many games.

cooldes says... #11

it's also not a boros deck....

So what's the win/loss ratio?

August 14, 2014 3:42 a.m.

ChiefBell says... #13

Every time I check the comments on this deck I have a good laugh.

August 14, 2014 3:50 a.m.

-Fulcrum says... #14

@ChiefBell: What, have you figured it out? Or is it just funny?

August 14, 2014 4:51 a.m.

ChiefBell says... #15

It's just that everyone expects the deck to do what the name suggests instead of just reading the list and working it out for themselves. Every few months you get someone saying 'this isn't boros' 'this isn't reanimator' as if the poster is somehow clueless instead of figuring out that it's just a joke.

-Fulcrum says... #16

So it has the most backasswards name ever just to attract attention. Seems legit.

TurboFagoot says... #17

Fulcrum: Win loss ratio is about 80/20 in my favor

The numbers vary, I obviously don't track every game I've played over the year or two I've been tuning the deck, but it's pretty high.

All those walkers and no Chain Veil?

August 15, 2014 12:59 a.m.

TurboFagoot says... #19

No Chain Veil. It's slow, expensive, and often dead.

Have you tried Cabal Coffers / Profane Command to go with your Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth ?

August 15, 2014 1:11 a.m.

TurboFagoot says... #21

Cabal Coffers can't tap for mana on it's own, which is a huge detriment. I never want to use my tutors to find the other half of that little combo, and Coffers isn't strong enough on it's own. (Unlike Urborg, which fixes for me) Profane Command is also kind of weak.

Fair enough. So then I take it this deck plays out exactly like it looks to; grindy, grindy and a bit more grindy for good measure?

one other card I don't know if you've considered - Runechanter's Pike .

August 15, 2014 1:28 a.m.

TurboFagoot says... #23

Pretty much! I'm not a fan of any Equipment (Short of Batterskull, which is more of a creature). Getting in beats for 2 or so at a time is often good enough, and the Equipment would rot in my hand most of the game. If I were to run an Equipment, I'd probably run Feast and Famine.

-Fulcrum says... #24

Couldn't PrimeTime fetch Coffers/Urborg for you? Or is it still just not worth it?

August 15, 2014 2:39 a.m.

TurboFagoot says... #25

It could, but then I'd need a third card to be a mana sink to make it worth it. And more often than not, finding a Wasteland/Tarpit/random utility land is better than more mana.

I mean, I'm resolving a Primeval Titan trigger, mana should be no concern at that point.
