Why play Hold the Gates when you don't have Boros Guildgate s? If it's just for the vigilence it isn't really a good card choice, and could probably be traded for something with more impact. Even if you had the gates, the +0/+1 is still rather minimal, and I'd play 2 of tops.

xVisage Yeah, it's only for the vigilance, I'm still working on what to put in that spot, but it seemed like a good card to use at the time

Looks a lot more solid now. Maybe some Chained to the Rocks for removal against those pesky Gods? How does Tajic, Blade of the Legion work for you? I personally find his Battalion a bit hard to pull of if they have too much removal, and that tends to mitigate his worth.
Assemble the Legion is also a great card, so maybe throw 1 or 2 in of those as an alternative win-con? I can't even begin to describe how many games that won for me when I was still running my Boros Aggro / Naya Midrange about a half year back.

Yeah, it's been a long time since I ran boros, and I'd like to start running it again. You're completely right on the Tajic part, his battalion was always hard to activate, so to be, hes probably more of a sideboard card. Is Chained to the Rocks really as good of a card as everyone says? I can see it, but I'm still a bit suspicious.
As for Assemble the Legion , i found that it was always hard for me to get out for one reason or another, but whenever i was able to get it out, which was not too often, it was a game ender for me.

Chained to the Rocks is godsend if you're playing against anydeck with big creatures and heavy removal, which is why Banisher Priest gets outclassed by it when you're shifting from a full Aggro to a somewhat Aggro/Midrange deck.
The fact that you can exile ANY creature an opponent has is just as poweful as any insta-kill black spell (cough Hero's Downfall ), except now no amount invulnerability will be able to protect it (like Rootborn Defenses , or the God's Indestructible attribute). The fact that it's an enchantment also makes it harder to remove as well than a creature.
On a side note, I'm glad you've added in 2x Assemble the Legion , but I don't think you'd be needing 2 more in the Sideboard, maybe 1 Sideboard is enough. It's great against Control matchups, but at the same time you wouldn't want to flood on that card xD

Yeah, Chained to the Rocks sounds like a good card then. I still have a few slots to fill up, then a whole sideboard to make.

How about some Brave the Elements to help push your entire force through, or some Gods Willing for countering removal and Scry power?
I'd suggest Boros Reckoner but I'm not sure how budgeted you are. Skyknight Legionnaire is a pretty decent alternative though, 2/2 Flying Haste is pretty hard to deal with if they're not running instant speed removal, and the aforementioned Gods Willing would be great to cover that opening.

xVisage I am fairly budgeted at the moment, but hopefully not for long. I remember using Skyknight Legionnaire though. Was a fantastic card for the surprise battalion on turn three.

I think you're missing something
