Burn with only 4 burn spells? Seems more like Boros Devotion*

There's seven burn spells and I just added 2 of Mizzium Mortars. Purphoros is also used as player-burn through token spam.

burn deck = more burn spells than anything.Burn as in, Burn the Players life total away. So, there is really only 4. Purphoros functions as a shock, yes. However, it is only through combos that he does. Boros Devout Tokens... haha

Haha, that'd probably be a more accurate deck name, but I named it Token Burn because the main wincon (and reason I made the deck) is the recurring shock that purphoros does with token spam.

Haha Yeah, I like the strategy. Have you tried it at your Lgs yet?

Not yet, I'm hoping that the rest of the cards I need will show up by then. My lgs has the cards, but they're overpriced.

Thanks! Yeah, $3 for a single dictate of the twin gods is just stupid.

Like the build. I am playing a similar deck with a bit more defense. You may like Heliod, God of the Sun in place of Iroas, God of Victory . I only say that, as it allows you to create a steady stream of tokens mid to late game.

M15 will add Raise the Alarm . That will have a positive impact on this deck as well.

I've tried something similar like this. I ran into issues with removal spells, since the deck hinges on Purphoros, God of the Forge and the tokens you drop with him out. Once he is removed, Deicide , what is your back up? Celestial Flare is a nice removal card for blood baron and obzi.

Maybe throw in one Fated Conflagration just to pair with boros and the twin gods, nice 20 shot with out them seeing it.

+1 for the counter build and using twin gods.

I'm definitely going to try Heliod, God of the Sun , and were purphoros to get Deicide 'd , I'd then have to rely on board presence to win a game, and thanks for the recommendations, celestial flare is definitely making it into the side board!

Rather surprised to see Frontline Medic and Dictate of the Twin Gods in here over Raise the Alarm .

Otherwise, very solid looking deck, good job.

Thanks! Raise the Alarm isn't standard yet, and I haven't taken m15 into account. Frontline Medic is here because it helps me keep a solid board state after swinging. Dictate of the Twin Gods is here because it helps Boros Reckoner triggers and gives my tokens a pseudo-double strike.

The only thing you need to watch out for is Dictate of the Twin Gods also deals double damage to you as well when your opponent hits you. Other than adding Raise the Alarm from m15, looks like a solid deck.

Dictate of the Twin Gods is a lethal card, cast only when you know you can swing for a bunch and it'll get through. I used it with boros and conflagration for a kill.
