this deck is a result of endless deck tryouts of a wizard-creature_based-kinda_control-having_many_options-deck. i play mtg as hobby since around 2000 with some breaks in between.so please consider this when giving feedback ;)
my last version of this deck was more wizard based, meaning building up a wizard creature base and then using different wizard abilities to control the game. i realised it was not effective against different strong decks of my friends. mainly it was too slow and i had too many options. plus, the nessecary creature base was too easy to target in early game.
then i noticed the wonderful skill borrower and changed the deck. basically its all about controlling my top library card and using the different activated abilities of the cards on top of my deck. at its best, starting at turn 4 I either steal creatures, draw cards, tap permanents or counter spells.
spellskite is for protection of my smaller creature base. brainstorm, information dealer, Sensei's Divining Top and Gitaxian Probe are for card draw and top deck control. the Magus of the Mirror is only usable via skill borower and only in there to help me out against life loss and strong early aggro when my own start is not perfect (meaning i get beat down, then switch life points).
the remaining white mana is only in case of sideboarding magus of the disk or meddling mage, although i know i dont even have a sideboard yet :/
the basic idea behind this deck should be clear and im sure that there is room for improval. iam still kind of stuck at the wizard theme
waiting for comments, ideas, critism :)
