Ornithopter and Memnite don't do anything in EDH. Myr Galvanizer is cool, but there aren't enough Myr in the deck to make it worth it. Arcbound Lancer is overcosted and seems way too weak. Paradise Mantle is unnecessary and is a pretty bad ramp spell. Alloy Myr is slower ramp than Copper Myr , and can't be Skullclamp ed as easily. Switch them. Hoarding Dragon seems pretty bad since there aren't many (if any) ways of sacrificing non-artifact creatures in this deck. Grim Lavamancer goes against the deck's main strategy, and should be replaced with Chaos Warp , the best red removal in the format. Myr Enforcer is just a beater that isn't even that big, and isn't worth the slot. Finally, Sneak Attack is a very good card, but this deck already has so much ramp that it might not be necessary and could possibly be cut.

Sorry, I meant Iron Myr . Not Copper Myr .

Only thing I have to argue is Myr Enforcer is a free 4/4 that sacks to bosh for 7 damage

Any other users wish to agree/refute what TheFanatic stated in his post?

I agree with the exception of sneak attack and myr. The myr is 10 generic, 1 red, deal 7 damage to target creature or player, affinity for artifacts. That seems pretty solid to me in EDH. And Sneak attack ispretty solid as well for being 5 mana, discard an artifact, lightning bolt for it's CMC.

I've been doing some thinking over building a Bosh deck of my own lately, and I've got some ideas I'd like to share. I hope they are useful in any way.

Personally, I would run Braid of Fire over Thran Turbine , as you can cast spells with it during your upkeep (provided they have flash via Shimmer Myr , Vedalken Orrery or Winding Canyons ) And let's be honest, you're probably not going to use Thran Turbine often enough to sac it to Bosh, Iron Golem to deal 1 damage anyway.

You're using artifacts as sac-fodder, and you run Crucible of Worlds , Buried Ruin could do you some good.

I don't really see why Memnite and Ornithopter are in the deck. Could you inform me as to why they're in here?

This deck could use Sensei's Divining Top to complete the Rings of Brighthearth /Basalt Monolith combo to draw as mana cards as you want. And Top is just an unbelievably good card on its own, deck manipulation is awesome in any color and any strategy. Other amazing cards are Chaos Warp and Stranglehold , these cards shut down so many strategies it's unbelievable.

A deck running a heavy artifact theme and Goblin Welder NEEDS Memory Jar in my opinion, in mono red, this effect is HUGE, especially with loads of mana rocks and Crucible of Worlds . Usually you can play all the mana rocks you draw plus a big spell, dump the rest of the cards and get them back via Goblin Welder , then rinse and repeat the Memory Jar .

Paradise Mantle should probably be a Mind Stone instead. In terms of early ramp, Mind Stone is just consistent, where Paradise Mantle is very conditional of you keeping a creature on board, equipped, without summoning sickness AND invest mana into equipping (keep in mind that equipping an Iron Myr , Alloy Myr or Palladium Myr wouldn't do you any good, as they are part of your few viable early game creatures). Late game, Mind Stone gets you a card (or 2-3 depending if you have Rings of Brighthearth /Kurkesh, Onakke Ancient on board), where Paradise Mantle does nothing really (but tap a creature you control for mana). Dreamstone Hedron is also an option... Though it's a pricy one, it does have very nice synergy with your commander and Rings of Brighthearth /Kurkesh, Onakke Ancient .

Null Brooch is a very interesting card too by the way. It keeps enemy Vandalblast s, Stony Silence s, Creeping Corrosion s and Austere Command s at bay, aside from the usual mischievery like Tooth and Nail , Green Sun's Zenith , Time Warp , Cyclonic Rift . The synergy with Unwinding Clock though is fantastic.

Duplicant is also a thing. It's a good card on its own, and is 6 damage worth of fodder when it sits on the battlefield.

so deathbygiraffe each card in the deck besides the general has been suggested by the community. Some people chose cards they liked, others chose the cards because of their high CMC, others I don't really know why they chose the cards they did. I haven't had any real input on this deck since I want the community here at TappedOut to be the ones who make the deck. I like all of your suggestions but I'm more interested in what the rest of the community thinks about your suggestions and your cuts/additions to the deck. I do appreciate the time and the thought put into your suggestions! Many thanks.

After reading HorrorAvengers's comment, I now agree that Myr Enforcer and Sneak Attack should probably stay in the deck. I stand by my other suggestions, though.

I think the general consensus is that ornithopter and memnite need to be cut for, in my opinion, Scroll Rack and Sensei's Divining top.

August 12, 2014 2:01 p.m.

I just realized, Kuldotha Forgemaster needs to be in here too. The card is pretty stupid, especially with myr turbine

August 12, 2014 4:34 p.m.

Kozelek says... #11

Top and rack are to good to not be in here and yes thopter and memnite need to go

bcornett24 says... #12

I agree Memnite and Ornithopter serve no purpose in this deck.

arcorax says... #13

Mabey add Draco ?

August 12, 2014 10:19 p.m.

arcorax Draco is already in the board.

August 13, 2014 12:42 p.m.

@HorrorAvengers Kuldotha Forgemaster is already in the deck.

August 13, 2014 12:43 p.m.

My eyes are not working today, wow ;-; so is the general consensus that Memnite and Ornithopter need to become scroll rack and top?

August 13, 2014 1:39 p.m.

So far only two users have suggested/agreed upon the use of Sensei's Divining Top and Scroll Rack . I would hope a few more users would give their thoughts on the situation before they are added. I went ahead and cut Memnite and Ornithopter since many have suggested they disappear from the board.

Braid of Fire is better than Thran Turbine . Hoarding Dragon and Myr Galvanizer can also be cut, both don't do enough for your deck.

Sensei's Divining Top would be quite useful for this deck. Scroll Rack might not be quite as nice, so I would hold off or playtest and see if you need it.

August 15, 2014 10:36 a.m.

I see no purpose in Draco being included, as the upkeep cost is high, and casting him is very hard, even with tutors.

August 19, 2014 12:46 p.m.

Draco could be just a toolbox to use with forgemaster. Something big to drop for lots of instant damage, send it back every time it's in our opening hand. It's a one of so it won't hurt that much.

Remove Shrapnel Blast and Steel Overseer . Blast is redundant with Bosh, and Overseer is slow. Paradise Mantle seems like a waste of a slot, you can't even sac it for damage. Tower of Calamities is way too expensive to activate to be worth it. Grim Lavamancer doesn't make enough of an impact to be worth using.

There's 5 cards I'd remove. Also, why no Iron Myr ?

August 19, 2014 2:45 p.m.

Overseer is powerful enough to see play in the most explosive aggro deck in magic history, and while yes it will be slower in here than robots, it's also a much slower format. Etched Champion and overseer is the very definition of inevitibility. And that's not accounting it's synergy with modular mechanic, pentavus, and making bosh a 3 turn clock.

Tower of calamities is at best repeated removal and at worse an artifact to throw at people much like monkey turdballs. Paradise mantle is better in decks where color fixing is important, I agree there. Shrapnal blast... Needs testing. On one hand it might be a great way to get in damage in response to a Shatter, or it might be a dead card because bosh. Grim Lavamancer removes utility creatures. Whether or not that's enough is up to the community, I think it is, but it's personal preferance.

Has Basilisk Collar been considered? It makes bosh into an absolute powerhouse. Shure I'll sac my Mana Vault to kill your vorinclex. Sounds like a good trade. And turning drago into a 5 mana 32 LP swing? Yes and please.

I would agree with adding iron myr, and add basilisk Collar, drop the paradise mantle and either shrapnel blast or grim lavamancer. I would be inclined to drop the blast because Lavamancer + Collar = doing dirty things to the opponent's board.

Warstorm Surge . For when you really want somebody dead right meow. Sneak Attack or Quicksilver Amulet + Blightsteel Colossus + Warstorm Surge = somebody dead at instant speed turn 5 or 6, and it can only be stopped by Stifle or Voidslime if they aren't aware of what's coming.

Dude, remove Braid of Fire , Draco , Tower of Calamities and Myr Galvanizer . They don't help.
