I'm thinking of adding 2 Sword of Feast and Famine, which might take the place of a couple Scion of Oona. If I take them out completely I would probably go with 2 Remand too. I'm going to play it like I have it now first though to get a feel for it since I have little experience with it other than researching and watching some streams. Once I have more experience, I will likely tweak it some but thanks for the suggestions.

swords would really help the deck. you may want to consider Vedalken Shackles over some of the spot removal. Scion of Oona is great for when your opponent tries to abrupt decay something of yours. I would consider mainbording Shadow of Doubt, since even mono colored decks use fetches for thinning.

I know it's not a Faerie, but a couple Snapcaster Mage could be really sweet here. It even has the Wizard tribal synergy for Sage's Dousing. Remand might be nice as well.

its a pretty good deck but don't you think it is a little expensive

@ pichajay
Well for the most part the only things that are really expensive were the Vendilion Clique, Cryptic Command, and Bitterblossom. I just acquired Bitterblossom so the cost of those dropped down a good chunk. Also I traded for two copies, one being the judge foil promo. Since I've been playing since 2009 I had a majority of the "value" already for this deck acquired so it didn't really feel as expensive as the price tag suggests.
@tclaw12
I do like Snapcaster Mage but am trying to keep the deck straight faerie in this build. If I did add it I'd probably drop down 1 Vendilion Clique and 1 Scion of Oona. I couldn't see going a full playset of it in the deck.
@natarino
I like Vedalken Shackles, but since I have few Islands in the deck I feel it wouldn't be a good fit in the deck, and I also don't have any yet. Shadow of a Doubt I did struggle over whether to play it MB or SB, but until I can get a feel for how match-ups will actually play out at my LGS I'm going to keep it SB. I'll be playing this at my LGS tomorrow night and might get put on the stream since it's a uncommon deck to see. After I play it I will make updates to the list if needed and post them.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions and comments. If I do make it on the stream I'll post a link to it. Also if you want to watch it live the site is:

Your deck seems fairly dependent on creatures, so I'd cut 1 of the Sword of Fire and Ice and add 1 Sword of Light and Shadow. Also, is there little to no Tarmogoyf in your meta? If there is, you might want to add a Relic of Progenitus in for Grafdigger's Cage. It achieves the same graveyard-hate, but also hits Goyf and Delve.

Was actually thinking of going for Sword of War and Peace for protection from red and white. Would like to have protection from red against burn.

With grixis and jund both so prelevant lately I fear running swords in general is an ill advised move in general. Jund has dedicated 4-6 slots in the mainboard that kills swords while grixis has 3-6 with snapcaster. I would personally remove them for more removal such as Dismember. Also curious how does your deck do agaisnt affinity, twin, and naya?

The swords actually work quite well in the deck and mitigate the downside to Bitterblossom. Actually, each round I played and equipped it I won the match, in large part due to the sword. I've only tested it at one event so far and plan on testing it again tomorrow and Sunday. I built the deck a few months ago but never had the chance to play test it because other things came up. I'd say I didn't really have any problem keeping the sword out to much and played against some decks which attempted to destroy it several times and had a response each time. I'll see how things go these next couple events and provide updates.

Right makes sence but what you faced for the sword is something the sword is powerful to play agaisnt. In matches such as jund beware Abrupt Decay due to its uncounterable clause letting them simply destroy the sword and bitterblossom. Agaisnt jund you want to lock down their hand more effectively rather than try to race because jund mainboards roughly 10-15 removal spells. Grixis is easier to deal with in comparison due to them frequently trying to get turn two Anglur or tasigur. Affinity decks I would definitly keep the bitterblossom in due to how it provides free chump blockers preventing massive damage but the sword would probally come out for dedicated affinity hate like Hurkyl's Recall. Naya be careful of their speed since it's typically the burn list that's being played and not the creature list. Also try to keep in mind how match ups like splinter twin may go so keep up counter magic or vendillion clique so they can't combo off effectively. If you want more advise on match ups you may potentially play agaisnt let me know and I will try my best to give you insight on what they will be weak agaisnt

I like it.
Faeries is the one blue deck I don't like Snapcaster in though.
Personal preference not any real reason

You might be able to drop a Mana Leak for another Familiar's Ruse? Also why do you have four Mutavault? I feel like Creeping Tar Pit might be better... Also have you thought of adding Sword of Fire and Ice? The draw could be really helpful. Love the deck by the way! You did a great job here.

I do want another Familiar's Ruse but currently only own one, but I have a couple more in the mail so I will be making the change. I chose Sword of Light and Shadow for life gain and the ability to return a creature from my graveyard to my hand, and this is particularly beneficial to get back Spellstutter Sprite or Snapcaster Mage, but being able to get any creature is beneficial in this deck. Drawing a card is nice but having a choice from my graveyard feels better. Every time I've got that sword out and equipped I've won the match, so it feels quite useful. I went with a full play set Mutavault because it plays nicely with Scion of Oona. I could play another Creeping Tar Pit but don't like the idea of having to many lands that come in tapped.

A playset Of mutavualt seems too much. 4 colorless lands when using a cryptic and vendillion is not advisable. Id cut two of them for one more Creeping Tar Pit and maybe a basic. Mainboard I feel you can cut two Scion of Oona for more removal because 15 creatures when you run 4 Bitterblossom is not necessarily a good thing. Plus oona be the only creature they can counter so might as well reduce the number. I would add more Spell Snare or consider a Threads of Disloyalty to use as a goyf stealer.

I've never actually had an issue with having the right mana on hand to cast Vendilion Clique or the Cryptic Command and have even used Snapcaster Mage to target a Cryptic Command a couple times. If I dropped the Scion of Oona I would probably opt to play Sword of Fire and Ice in its place. There really is not a need for more counter spells, but probably more of a need for the swords being consistently found. Also, I have not lost a match where a sword has been equipped. I'm a little skeptical of the need to drop Mutavault because I have not had an issue with it before and I tend to dislike playing lands that come into play tapped. If I dropped the Scion of Oona completely I would drop the Mutavault too.

Drop Mutavault for x2 Darkslick Shores x2 Watery Grave?
November 24, 2015 2:33 p.m.
Maybe drop all four Scion of Oona for x1 Cryptic Command, x1 Familiar's Ruse, and x2 Sword of Fire and Ice. I also love the Threads of Disloyalty idea. That would be a great sideboard card.

I made an alternate list with cards I have removing the discard completely and some of the other suggestions. Here is the link Modern Faerie Deck v2. I may try to play this version tomorrow at my LGS to see how it is.

The deck did ok tonight at my LGS event. I went 1-2-1 tonight. The most difficult deck I came up against was a Collected Company deck which one first match pretty quickly going infinite life. I feel my record tonight could have been 3-1 with one round coming to 1 turn clock and the other going to time and ending in a Draw, which I would have won in 2 more turns. The other deck I lost to was Scapeshift and was a really close match. It came down to 1 turn and 1 mana basically, I was not able to prevent Scapeshift from going off.

Made some tweaks to the deck. Changed lands a little and increased the amount of 1CC counters. I find a lot of my matches come down to 1 mana. I played the deck last night at LGS and had a pretty bad night going 1-3. Lost to Zoo, though I feel if I had hit a Damnation I could have turned that match around. Second game I lost to Bloom Titan... Not much I can do on a turn 2 combo in the first game and the second game I found myself short 1 mana with 2 answers in my hand to his 2 Titans. I had a Sower of Temptation and a Geth's Verdict in hand. I won against W/U control deck in round 3. The final round just sucked because I got legit mana screwed against JUND in the second game. However the first game was quite close, and he was in kill range by his own Dark Confidant flipping a land; which ensured his win.

Nice deck, I play modern faeries as well and it's one of my favorites. I would suggest taking out the Polluted Delta and replacing it with (2) Drowned Catacomb or maybe Tectonic Edge. I've recently struggled with taking out Scion of Oona in my own deck. I've played tested with/without it a lot and I've decided to keep it out. I would consider removing your Scion's and replacing them with more spot removal or counters. I really like Remand to gain tempo over my opponent but to each their own. Good job on the awesome deck, always glad to see more modern faerie decks.
