I wanted to deviate a bit from the typical Vampire commanders while keeping the tribal theme in the deck. Marchesa provides me with the 3 colours for vampires and adds the monarch ability to draw cards, create tokens, etc. Plus a nice "Kingdom/Royal" sub-theme to the deck.
