Hey there fellas!
This's my first Deck released here, so I'd like to get as much feedback and help as possible ^^
(Especially how to make it budget friendly, although it's not that pricey [69,67$ average TCGPlayer price].)
The Deck's mainly focussed on two things: Sacrificing/Recycling Creatures and buffing our Creatures.
As you can see in the title, it's based on Vampires (surprise), but also features a few non-vamp. creatures, as sacrificing fodder for the rest of the band.
Color(s): Only Black and Red in here, no surprise there, since almost all Vampires are either (or both) of those colors.
Creatures total: 28
1CMC Creatures Show
4x Gravecrawler
Simple 1-drop with 2/1 and can't block, which isn't that bad, since we want it to die as often as possible.
Can be re-played from Graveyard at sorcery speed for
2x Indulgent Aristocrat
Nice little 1-drop, that can sac a creature (even himself!) for , to buff ALL OUR Vampires by +1/+1 permanently.
Goes well with a turn 2 Falkenrath Exterminator.
2CMC Creatures Show
4x Falkenrath Exterminator
Very good 2-drop and great synergy with our sac-loop-strategy.
Each time it deals combat damage to a player it buffs itself with a +1/+1 counter and for we can use it as a removal spell at instant speed, which grows stronger every time we buff it.
1x Relentless Dead
Delivers a nice blocker with 2/2 which can also deal a good amount of damage early.
Goes extremely well with our sac-loop, by putting itself back into your hand for if it dies, and also brings back Gravecrawler if we somehow only have Red mana left.
3CMC Creatures Show
3x Bloodflow Connoisseur
Starts only as a 1/1, but can sac creatures for free to give itself +1/+1 counters.
Simple, but effective, considering replaying a gravecrawler only costs us double black.
3x Stromkirk Captain
Solid 2/2 with First Strike, which is, by itself, pretty awesome.
Also buffs OTHER Vamps we control by giving them +1/+1 AND First Strike.
3x Vampire Nighthawk
Really not much to say here. I guess a 3 Mana 2/3 Vampire, with Flying, Deathtouch and Lifelink explains itself.
4CMC Creatures Show
2x Bloodline Keeper
3/3 with flying is average for the cost, but it shines when Vampire synergy via Indulgent Aristocrat and Stromkirk Captain kicks in.
Also produces 2/2 flying Vapire tokens for blocking or attacking or sacrificing. For free. (Yeah okay for tapping him, but who cares.)
Also pay one black mana when you have 4 other Vamps on the field to make him a 5/5 flyer that further buffs our Vamps with +2/+2 and still pumps out tokens.
Pure - Gold.
2x Vampire Outcasts
2/2 for 4 mana seems bad, but behold! The might of Bloodthrist 2 AND Lifelink is walking (not flying sadly) your way!
Get's immensely better paired with the next entry.
5CMC Creatures Show
4x Bloodlord of Vaasgoth
3/3 for 5 seems bad right? WRONG!
Bloodthirst 3 is ridiculously awesome and he has flying! An almost 100% guaranteed 6/6 flying vampire? For 5? Yes please.
But wait there's more!
He also hands out Bloodthirst 3 to all our Vampires as we cast them like it's candy!
And such sweet candy it is.
'Member that Falkenrath Exterminator? Oh yeees, 2 mana 4/4 with inbuilt 3 damage kill spell, I 'member.
Or 'member Vampire Outcasts? Yeaaahh, 7/7 Lifelink I 'member.
(And behold, he's super cheap in real life money, too.)
Spells total: 10
Enchantements Show
2x Stensia Masquerade
Pretty much mandatory in any somewhat competitive Vampire deck.
Gives all Vampires First Strike and each time a Vamp. we control deals combat damage to a player, it get's a +1/+1 counter.
Also has madness for the same cost, which is not very likely to matter too much.
Artifacts Show
3x Blade of the Bloodchief
Equip for
When ANY creature dies equipped creature get's a +1/+1 counter, and if it's a Vampire it get's two of those instead.
Instants Show
3x Tragic Slip
Nearly always guaranteed -13/-13 kill spell. Gets around nasty little things like indestructible.
2x Urge to Feed
A two mana -3/-3 that also let's you tap any number of (untapped) Vampires you control and gives each of those a +1/+1 counter.
Obviously meant to be played during your opponents' end step.
Lands total: 22
9x Swamps
9x Mountains
4x Bloodfell Caves (come into play tapped and you gain 1 Life)
Cards for Maybeboard:
Blood Artist
Only 0/1 but it drains an opponent for 1 Life each time he or another creature dies.
Wouldn't go for more than 3x but has some limited use in this deck.
Falkenrath Noble
Only a 2/2 body but at least with flying, makes up for a decent attacker or emergency blocker.
Functions more like a Blood Artist on steroids.
Havengul Vampire
2/2 Vampire that get's +1/+1 each time he deals combat damage to a player and/or another creature dies.
Could be argued that it's more flexible than Bloodflow Connoisseur, but I figured it might be too squishy.
Kalitas, Bloodchief of Ghet
5/5 with, pay triple black and tap, destroy a creature and if it dies get a Vampire token that shares both power & toughness of the killed creature. Really nice since it could also kill our own Gravecrawlers and immediatly replacing them, also giving them Vampire synergies, but at 7 mana a bit too pricey.
Vampire Nocturnus
3/3 Vampire with, play with top card of your library revealed, and as long as it's a black card, he and all Vampires your control get +1/+2 and flying. It's really not a bad card at all. Also not super expensive in real life money, but somehow I couldn't find a way to fit it into the list.
Viscera Seer
1/1 Vampire with, sac a creature, Scry 1.
That's it. Could deliver some useful card adventage, since Scrying is always a nice thing.
Voldaren Pariah
Only a 3/3 Vampire Horror, but has flying and Madness tripple black, not that we can make good use of that in this deck. Also, if you sac three creatures, it transforms into a 6/5 Eldrazi Vampire with flying and your opponent has to sac three of his own creatures.
This could deliver some early bord wipe if we had some way to get the madness going, otherwise ... nah.
I didn't have a chance to play this deck yet, because I wanted to get some Feedback before buying the cards.
