i would suggest taking out the Master of Cruelties for something like Desecration Demon to keep pressure
also maybe sideboard the Skullcrack and Weapon Surge for the likes of Lightning Strike and Magma Jet since it's burn
Doom Blade would probably be prefered over Dreadbore since it's instant
also it would probably be good to make it complete play sets of Rakdos Cackler and Shock to make sure you get them early game.
sorry for rambling though, it looks good. +1 from me :)

Thanks for the review. Master of Cruelties is an experiment; really just want to see if it can work half decently at all. I have yet to playtest the deck. Didnt actually notice that Dreadbore was a sorcery, big difference there.

Will give the deck a try soon and make changes after.

Cool deck bro, just recently fell in love with rakdos theme ... been looking for budget decks since I don't have much money to spend on cards ... this one looks pretty good ...

Any other budget rakdos cards you can suggest ?

Did you thought about any cheaper mana options to replace Purphoros, God of the Forge and Fanatic of Mogis ?

Keep it up, +1

Yeah, this deck started as budget and is just sort of trending away from that as I acquire the more expensive cards. Its pretty easy to swap out Rakdos's Return for the Skullcrack , Blood Crypt for Rakdos Guildgate , and Purphoros, God of the Forge for Rakdos, Lord of Riots if youre really wanting to keep things on the cheap.

For lower CMC creatures I mean the Mindsparker is on the SB basically for facing any sort of control deck. Otherwise you could do something like Legion Loyalist depending on if you want to go balls to the wall or build up a sort of "task force" first. Could try Tymaret, the Murder King , Ash Zealot , or even put a Rakdos Keyrune in there.

Ive been considering the Keyrune myself as it adds some solid ramp as well.

This looks pretty good. I want to do a Rakdos build, but I can't decide between a creature-heavy aggro, fast, grrr, beat-face deck, or more kill and burn Rakdos control.

My first idea is to do an Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch + creatures with unleash aggro deck: lots of power for low mana, haste, etc. I don't know how to tweak it to get around control, and not sure how many noncreature spells to include - with Rakdos, there's so many good removal and disruption spells: Thoughtseize , Duress , Doom Blade , Ultimate Price , Hero's Downfall , Dreadbore , Mizzium Mortars , Magma Jet , etc. and with a Guttersnipe out, it just makes those spells all the sweeter.

Any tips in either of those directions?

Here's a pile of cards on the table that I like (I recently acquired more, so I need to update that list):

Took a look at your collection, the only thing that I think is critical that youre missing is Underworld Connections , I found that Read the Bones alone was not enough card draw. A lot of the time Rakdos has a tendency to run out of steam if you dont win early enough.

You clearly have enough stuff to go either direction though. Personally I would just pick either control/burn or aggro and go for it. When my deck was midranged it was just to scattered to be effective.

If you go control Id pick up two Rakdos's Return and if you go aggro Id pick up Fanatic of Mogis and Hammer of Purphoros . ps Im not using Thoughtseize because mine are in another deck of mine.

Yeah, no Underworld Connections yet. I have Dark Prophecy , which makes sense in my black devotion deck, but just isn't a good fit for Rakdos.

(I did briefly consider some sort of Tymaret, the Murder King + Dark Prophecy shenanigans, producing a bunch of tokens, getting ETB damage with them from Purphoros, God of the Forge , then LTB damage with Tymaret and card-draw with Prophecy. Seemed like more trouble than it was worth, though . .)

No problem, I took a look at both, the burn one seemed a bit closer to finished to me, Id give both a try and see how you like each.
