So first of all, while my playgroup(LGS) tries to play very competetively we do have some bans additionally to the Multiplayer Banlist by WotC: Sol Ring, Mana Vault, Mana Crypt, Winter Orb, MLD and Protean Hulk are banned, so please don't suggest them. It IS indeed a huge blow to Brago decks, which benefit from them a lot, but we banned them since Half Paris Mulligans were gone, and the player drawing 2 or 3 Fast Mana Sources simply pulled so far ahead that it instantly became a game of archenemy on turn one. Hence these bans.

Strionic Resonator is the key combo card in this deck. While he's primarily in to copy Brago's Ability for going infinite with Brago and 2 mana worth of rocks, it can also copy ETB's of other creatures if need be. The deck tries to play lot's of card's that draw cards on ETB as soon as possible and then start drawing cards with Brago to find Resonator and Mortarpod to instantly kill all other players. Sometimes I can produce infinite mana and infinite draws, in which case I'll just draw into Venser, Shaper Savant flash him out and bounce all permanents I don't control.
This decklist currently does NOT include any stax pieces. What I want to end up with is a decklist that can win by drawing lots of cards and finding the combo as soon as possible.

After that, I want to determine a module I can side out to get a stax package in, so I can hold my own in more competetive environments(there's 3 Commander Tournaments on my University every year, which also employ the same bans as my playgroup); effectively having 2 slightly different versions of the deck(kinda like sideboarding actually^^)

My Meta includes: A really fun Xenagod deck, that ramps really hard and then hits your face really hard at T4/T5; A Ghave Deck, that's rather slow but regain's value after a Wrath extremely quickly and does this until it finds a combo; 2 Roon blink toolbox decks; A Kami of the Crescent Moon Deck, that's 60% Counters and then combo's off at some point and last but not least, my Blue Braids "GroupHug" Deck, it just loves to Show and Tell or Ramp like crazy with Mana Doublers backed up by counters. One thing that has to be mentioned: 1cmc Mana dorks are very strong in this meta since "unfair" fastmana is banned. All the green decks usually run as many as they can.

Xenagos, God of Revels | Ghave, Guru of Spores | Roon of the Hidden Realm | Braids, Conjurer Adept

This deck heavily relies on it's commander. It work's without him, but if Brago can connect the value gained is often very extreme. Other than that, the blink spells should be seen as protection against spot removal or in case of Ghostway and its reprint as a way to dodge a Wrath AND gain value in the process. Parallax Wave is great to defend against the Xenagod Deck as well as to dodge Spot Removal or a Wrath. Just blink it with Brago or let it die and my stuff comes back. It can also be used like O-Ring to play fun stack games to exile stuff forever.Parallax Tide is the same but for lands. With this I can deny an opponent 3 Lands for 2 of his turns, which is often very powerful. As soon as Brago is out, it untaps my lands for the 2nd Main Phase and with Resonator like the Wave it can also be used to permanently exile lands. Mentor of the Meek draws card's when my creatures are blinked since most of them AND Brago are power 2 or less.
This deck likes to play a lot of stuff. Because of that we don't usually have mana for counters up, hence we don't run any. This sometimes hurts when randomly a T3 Aura Shards pops up and I need to find enchantment removal quickly. Likewise a Torpor Orb can nearly completely shut us out of the game. To combat this there's a lot of artifact and enchantment removal in the deck. Also if I can't dodge a wrath and I happen to have no cards in hand it's very hard for me to recover.

However this deck is very fast. A turn 3 kill is possible and winning on turn 5 is not suprising. This sounds rather average, but if we take my playgroup's bans into account, which bans the best 3 mana rocks Brago could play this is really fast while also running a lot of interaction.

Right now it performs kind of inconsistently. To be fast enough against the green decks I really can't keep a hand without any manarocks and if I can't draw any cantrips that I can blink with Brago I am sometimes in topdeck mode for a very long time. If we had stax pieces in it wouldn't be so bad, but in this build we can't afford that to happen. However theoretically a Turn 3 win is possible and a turn 4-5 win is very realistic with good draws.

As for the budget, I can proxy up to 5 cards for the tournament so I don't mind if a few pricey ones get added.

Thanks for your help in advance :)

Out - Idyllic Tutor In - Grand Abolisher

I started to dislike to draw Idyllic Tutor. Sure getting one of the parallaxes is great, but enchantment removal is very common now in my meta, so all I ever do is grab Rest in Peace with it, which isn't at all necessary most of the time. If I need to get more graveyard hate I'd rather run Grafdigger's Cage in addition than running a very costly tutor. I always wanted to try Grand Abolisher to have some breathing room during crucial turns and this card does just that.
