Initially I was excited to have brago, the eternal king be quite aggressive running a solid set of mana rocks to consistently drop him turn 3 and be making use of card draw/token generation or tutor effects by turn 4. however this method has always put me into a position where Brago, the eternal king has clearly highlighted himself as public enemy number one and drawn all the hate. many times he was able to withstand that hate, combo out, and remain the last one. Other times, he could not and would be out done by removal.

My initial attempts also included very few instant and sorcery spells in order to maximize what Brago could do on the field. My philosophy has changed and I have decided to take a slower more careful approach with the build.

This version of Brago aims to get the king out around turn 4 or 5 with protection, once he is out the intention is that he will stay out. This is accomplished through countermagic and helpful artifacts like spellskite and lightning greaves.

Ultimately the build wants the same end, protect the king, ensure he can hit and lock down our opponents with effects like tangle wire and winter orb. The king kills with a token army or by submission through a denial of play (no permanents, no access to their permanents or no more turns). The way I would imagine a less than loving king may conquer his foes.

Thanks for taking a look and please let me know what you think!
