A deck I threw together after I saw the cool M14 cards like
Brave the Elements
. But with the release of M14, we are coming closer to the rotation with Theros. So, I would like to know what the future brings for mono-white aggro.
Please leave any thoughts you might have on this deck, below.
Mainboard:
Creatures:
Champion of the Parish - Great one drop and gets bigger almost every turn when more creatures enter.
Boros Elite - Solid one drop that turns into a 3/3 when battalion triggers. Quite the good card to give flying and double strike.
Elite Inquisitor
- First strike, vigilance bear? What could a human want more? Maybe some very specific hate?
Fencing Ace
- The only reason I put this card in, is because if I pump it, it deals twice that damage. So there is a really good synergy with Ajani's +1 and
Path of Bravery
.
Precinct Captain - Another bear, only with first strike this time, but he has an awesome token generating ability, especially if I give him double strike.
Fiendslayer Paladin
- Very solid creature, gains life and first strikes, good vs aggro, and is immune to a lot of spot removal.
Frontline Medic
- Gives indestructible, which let's me charge the enemy without the risk of losing my own forces.
Boros Reckoner - No human? Well, he's in here anyway because of his awesome ability, and possibility to first strike.
Noncreature spells:
Brave the Elements
- Protects my precious creatures against removal. Though I mainly use it to make my creatures partially, if not fully, unblockable. This cards makes mono-white that much better.
Path of Bravery
- Pumps creatures pretty early, and gains life. Very good card.
Ajani, Caller of the Pride - So glad this guy got a reprint. Use +1 to pump creatures, and gives evasion and double strike on -3. Never used his ult yet though.
Sideboard:
Under construction. Will add removal in the genre of
Banisher Priest
and Oblivion Ring. 4x
Imposing Sovereign
vs aggro/ haste matchups, and 4x Thalia, Guardian of Thraben vs controll or something noncreature heavy.
Maybe:
Doomed Traveler - Chump block, and makes flyer. Not bad I guess?
War Falcon
- Playable in this deck due to the high amount of Soldiers and Knights. 2/1 flying for W isn't that bad.
Archangel of Thune - Very slow in this deck. Before implementing this, this deck is going to need an overhaul.
