Brawl - Yourion Prison worse than Drannith

Standard Brawl* Prison WU (Azorius)

Yorion Prison ... still too many cards to cut.

So WotC has banned Sorcerous Spyglas and Drannith in Brawl for "knock out opponent commander" permanent.

But why? (Sounds dumb, but let me explain)

Both are 1 of 59 you do not see every game and Dranith as creature is "easy to remove" for every color (exile, destroy, direct damage, fight creature, bounce+counter)

We still have cards, that should be banned through this logic, too and we have many of them:

= Stealing:

Stealing is no zone change, so you cannot save your commanderto his zone, the commander is lost to the opponent (feels even worse than Spyglas / Drannith)

  • Agent of Treachery (also for Planeswalker)
  • Mass Manipulation (hard to cast? really? in mono blue or Yorion decks?)
  • Entrancing melody (Historic)

= Transform:

As long, as they only attack with fliers (or dont block it) and as long as you have no removal, the commander is lost (this is the same effect like Dranith. Okay, they get their entry trigger, but it is even worse than Spyglass, because they lose all abilities, instead only the activated abilities.)

  • Frogify
  • Kasmina's Mutation
  • Kenrith's Transformation ...

= The Pacifismus + Sorcerous Spyglas-effect-lock:

As long, as you have no removal, the commander is locked (this is the same like Spyglas)

  • Trapped in the Tower (only vs non-flier)
  • Heliod's Punishment ( Yorion / Charming Prince - combo makes this permanent)
  • Lawmage's Bindings

= The "does-not-untap-lock:

As long, as you have no removal, the commander is locked (this is nearly the same like Spyglas, since some activated abilities (Emry) are blocked, some still work (Heliod) )

  • Charmed Sleep
  • Waterknot
  • Capture Sphere
  • Dungeon Geists (is a creature like Dranith)
  • Sleep Paralysis
  • Entrancig Lyre (colorless)

Even worse, all of these (except Agent) only affect creature-commander and indirectly force you to play planeswalker commander. This is a big disadvantage for creature based Brawl-decks since creatures easier to remove, than planeswalker and the recast from the command zone is more benficial, since it resets their loyality points and the most used - ticker. Historic still has Immortal sun, that only locks planeswalkers, but it comes late with cmc 6 and I only met it in Historic Brawl once.

Drannith is as easy to remove, like all those from above.

So, is WotC gonna ban ALL of these for being as abuse to creature commanders, as Spyglas and Drannith are?

Or are they gonna unban Spyglas and Drannith, since it seems stupid to only ban 2 cards out of 15 that literally has nearly the same effect on the gameplay? (Or if we are very strict, then out of 9, since some activated abilities does not cost the tap of the creature)

Or is WotC gonna ignore all those cards, because they do not affect planeswalker or because see enough play, yet.

If they use "fairness" and "locks the commander" as argumet, 9 or all 15 of these had to be banned in Brawl, too. (And no, I dont want them to be banned, I want Drannith and Spyglas unbanned.)

If they use popularity as argument for a banning, then I am curious, if they will ban these, if they rise in popularity. Yorion can use all of those (except the green one) and I meet Yorion as often, as Kinnan and Nicol Bolas.

Lets discuss

(PS.: No, I dont wanna feel forced to play planeswalker as commander, since I feel planeswalker are worse than companions. But that's a different topic.)
