I came up with this build trying to find a place in Modern for Combustible Gearhulk. Being a 6cmc creature, it was obvious that he would only be viable in some sort of ramp deck. On top of that, the cmc of the deck had to be high enough so that if the opponent decided to take the damage, they would be severely punished/lose the game. After coming across a Standard Combustible Gearhulk list and a Modern Through the Breach list, I had the idea of combining the synergies. Rather than being an "all-in" Breach deck, Combustible Gearhulk offers an alternative wincon or the steam necessary to find the Through the Breach combo kill. On average it hits for 15 points of damage which makes for some truly hilarious wins.
