I'm slowly transitioning over to this verison. One change I've made is Mana Drain for Delay. I just like Drain as a counter better. Thoughts?

Sure, mana drain is a hard counter with a powerful bonus... But... I understand Sigi's decision against it in favor of delay. Delay costs just 1U and not UU what's not always guaranteed. Against commanders it's often a hard counter. And last but not least in cEDH a 3 turn delayed thread could easily be long enough to win the game.

LabManiac_Sigi, are you still planning to update the win conditions part of the primer?

I am, it's just a lot of work because I'm considering structuring that section differently, and I hate having to do TappedOut formatting.

Can you explain why you decided to cut Spell Pierce over Dispel and Flusterstorm

First off I want to say thank you. This primer and decklist helped guide me to making my own Breakfast Hulk deck. A deck I took to a 50+ person commander tourney and finished in the top 8. It's a challenging deck but I loved the speed of it.
It's that speed I wished to express today. I am very disappointed in how the deck has changed. It seems to be moving toward a more control aspect rather than a "counter-or-die" combo deck. I would like to just voice my opinion(and that of my opponents whom I crushed), you should go back to the previous iteration. Muldrotha and Angel of Glory's Rise are far to clunky for this deck to run smooth.
Speed is what this deck was made to do. If you want control there are far better iterations of control. But with the Hulk combo + Hermit Druid as your primary wins, you have to focus on speed. It may feel and seem safer to run but believe me, either the opponent has a counter or they don't. Don't get caught in the what ifs. The deck is flexible enough to rebound. In fact, playing so many infinite combos and tricks is what makes the deck so lethal. My deck threw in the cheap Nooze combo(Blighted Bat, walking ballista, channeler initiate, and devoted druid). This combo really put the deck over the top of all the other Thras/Tymna decks I have played. I don't mean any offense, that's just my $0.02 opinion.

Could someone please explain why the angel of glory's rise combo is better than the Muldrotha combo. They both take the same amount of slots so all you are doing is switching out Muldrotha, the Gravetide , Phantasmal Image , and Necromancy for Angel of Glory's Rise , Eternal Witness , and Auriok Salvagers . In both combos there is only 1 not totally dead card in Phantasmal Image and Eternal Witness , so why is one combo preferable to the others?

fierce3302 It is more slot efficient, you get to cut Labman, Hapless Researcher , and Fatestitcher .

But muldrotha also generates infinit mana. Why not cut the labman but keep muldrotha as an infinit mana combo?

EDH_Fanatic For that combo you also need Eternal Witness and Angel of Glory's Rise meaning they both take the same number of slots.
Combo 1: muldrotha, necromancy, phantasmal image, LED
Combo 2 angel of glory’s rise, eternal witness, auriock salvagers, LED
Why is one preferable?

fierce3302 the second one is more resilient to hate pieces/disruption, or so I have heard.

Alright, thanks. If you or someone else knows exactly what hate and disruption it is more resilient to that would be great.

I'm probably not seeing something but can you not get angel of glory's rise the same turn you activate hermit druid if he is the only creature you have in play? I see you are not running fatestitcher in this deck list so I am not seeing how to flashback dread return unless you had a mana dork and hermit druid.
March 21, 2019 6:26 a.m.
i was thinking about neoform :) i can see myself trading a mana dork for a Grand Abolisher and going off
i love playing this deck, my only diference is:
I run Scroll Rack over Timetwister... Should i run something else instead ? Scroll is really nice after tutoring, won me many games.

LabManiac_Sigi, jaymc1130, or others, am I correct that Memory's Journey must be used after getting infinite mana through the Bomberman combo to put Timetwister back in the deck if you are using either Hermit Druid or the Cephalid Breakfast combo to put your entire deck in the graveyard?
LabManiac_Sigi, I believe you had stated that you only keep hands with either a tutor or draw engine. Have the changes in the deck changed that?
Percentage wise, how often do win through Flash Hulk, Hermit Druid, and Bloom Tender / Freed from the Real ?

LabManiac_Sigi, disregard the question concerning the necessity to flashback Memory's Journey . I found the answer on the old messages on the Hulk Discord.
April 19, 2019 7:28 a.m.
hey, LabManiac_Sigi, do you ever in any situation find yourself in need of slotting in a sideboard card? If so, what is the sideboard you use for your deck, and in which situations do you slot in which cards over which cards?

Au57in.C - That's something I'm planning to dedicate a section of the primer to once I have time to do more work on it.

Been goldfishing the old version, with labman and friends as opposed to the timetwister loop variant, and it's stupid consistent. The only problem I'm having with it is sometimes drawing cards that we want in our library when we go off with FlashHulk or Druid, like Narcomeba and Muldrotha. Besides Brainstorm and Twister there doesn't seem to be many ways to get them back in the deck so we can go off.

use cabal therapy for flashback cost targeting yourself.

ShadyProphet says... #23
That works for muldrotha but my main concern is Narcomeba, since that is a big part of both combos and only hits the battlefield if it went to the graveyard from the library.

ShadyProphet - In situations where it's really bad and you draw into multiple pieces and you feel like you can't afford to play them, you have a backup line of Survival of the Fittest, discarding them to that, then ending your discard chain with Spellseeker, casting that, finding Memory's Journey, and shuffling those pieces back in. That being said, I've never been in a situation where I've felt like I had to do that.

scheerlc8520 No, but if you have some questions I might be able to answer, I currently play a list very similar to this.
