Noxious Revival works with either for the loop.

doomsdaydevice808 i threw Spellseeker in my deck because i don't have a vampiric tutor or any of the more expensive ones yet, she's a decent budget option and she can chip in for damage on occasion triggering your tymna :)

Looking at the new Guilds of Rav spoilers and Assassin's Trophy looks sooo good, it is obvious tha this card will see play in basically every format, but the question is will it work in this deck... this vs Abrupt Decay thoughts? Personally being able to target lands makes this better in my opinion but I'd like to hear what other people think before I consider putting it in the deck

I personally wont take out Abrupt Decay. Will probably take out either Gitaxian Probe or Reclamation Sage for it.

Would love to see what others think too.

Not having Timetwister (in a paper version) does it mean: Noxious Revival and Memory's Journey have no great purpose in the deck? and maybe Cabal Therapy too?

animeno and lynden. Assassin's Trophy improves our Memory's Journey loop, which is one of our wincons if we lose Lab Man. Reason is: trophy loop kills our opponent's lands. After we Cabal Therapy their hands, we leave our opponents with nothing. This means that we can safely pass with our trillion birbs and our opponents cannot topdeck us. I will swap with rec sage.

Hey, wondering if you were thinking about putting in either merchant scroll or Spellseaker. Not sure if they're fast enough but I've been trying them in my build and both are pretty good in their tutoring abilities

any reason not to play 4 Horsemen, seems like it would fit in perfectly with the decks main plan?

Is it possible to use Mnemonic Nexus instead of Timetwister? I'm assuming if you're doing loops you have infinite mana so this shouldn't be a problem right... Also we draw off Thrasios so we should be fine... I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not, i would like to see other opinions. Also wondering if I should replace rec sage with the new Assassin's Trophy, although it improves the loops, rec sage helps counter null rod match-ups...

For the combo, yes. It is not a very efficient use of the slot though. I would much rather go with Riftsweeper which will allow the combo to work and be of value on its own.

Assassin’s Trophy will most likely make its way into my list. I’m just not sure if Rec Sage would be the thing i’ll take out for it. Right now i’m leaning towards Swords.

I was thinking Delay or Flash of Insight for Assassin's Trophy. What are everyone’s thoughts?

animeno says... #12

Megalomania a lot of ther people use Krosan Reclamation instead of Timetwister, would you say that Riftsweeper is better?

hurricane219 I think Delay is another useful endgame counter so I probably wouldn't remove it, Flash of Insight is great in a longer game where some wincons have been nullified. Personally, I don't see a great use for Gitaxian Probe and will probably replace it with Assassin's Trophy.

I did too but IMO Riftsweeper is better. I rarely find myself having the need to shuffle cards from my graveyard back into the library outside of the loop. I would rather have ways to return cards from exile.

Megalomania how exactly do you do the loop with Riftsweeper? I'm assuming you flashback journey then play riftsweeper, then bounce and repeat?

September 17, 2018 12:32 a.m.

Megalomania says... #15

Yes. After getting infinite mana, we flashback Journey and play Riftsweeper to return Journey from exile.

Megalomania Sorry but I'm unsure how to bounce Riftsweeper

September 17, 2018 4 a.m.

Megalomania says... #17

You don't need to bounce it. We need Riftsweeper just to bring back Memory's Journye from exile. From there, you can loop Memory's Journey, Noxious Revival and Windfall. I made a guide-of-sorts in my page. You might want to check it out.

Merchant scroll and spellkeeper are musts in this deck. They find your best win con (hulk flash) and they find protection and bounce. I never not want to see them in opening hand. Spellkeeper also crosses the tutor chain from creature to instant and sorcery (worldly tutor, eladamri's call, etc to spellkeeper). Merchant scroll is better than spellkeeper due to casting cost but their both a must.

While ad naus/angle's grace is a nice backup plan it's awfully expensive CC for this deck. Minimum 6 mana and if you want protection even more mana possibly. It feels like a hail mary play.

How about the following changes:

-1 Swords to Plowshares (as suggested, moved to maybeboard)

-1 Gitaxian Probe

+1 Assassin's Trophy (as suggested, to replace Swords)

+1 Knight of Autumn

I kind of like Knight of Autumn as the second Reclamation Sage although it is more difficult to cast.

What do you guys think?

The muldrotha finish seems strange to me. It adds 4 'dead' cards (cards you really wouldn't play if you didn't have too (lion's eye diamond, necromancy, phantasmal image, and muldrotha), and it saves 2 mana verses the deep analysis kill. The Muldrotha cards aren't even needed with the flash combo - only hermit druid and straight breakfast combo.

Are the 4 dead cards worth 2 less mana for our backup combo's only? Seems like a steep price...

Also my version has really deviated from the OP list above. I've cut several of the less good combo's for more tutors and disruption. We don't need more than 2 ways to win, right?

Hiboi says... #23

Why not take out Flash of Insight for Riftsweeper? Wouldn't it be better to have more protection against hate then to have more card filtering seeing as how you have 8 different tutors?

November 10, 2018 5:33 p.m.

Alright, so I get that Angel of Glory's Rise can bring back Auriok Salvagers and Eternal Witness to get back LED and make infinite mana letting you Memory's Journey back a timetwister and loop your whole deck, but I don’t get why Bloom Tender Freed from the Real makes the cut or why Fatestitcher was cut, it allowed a Hermit Druid activation to get all 3 creatures for Dread Return and also works with Utopia Sprawl or Wild Growth and Freed from the Real.

elfric says... #25

hey themistocles333

no more fatestitcher reflects sigi wasnt going for fast hermits often as these tend to be naked/vulnerable. i guess if druid is an opportunity card that can be a 1 card win it doesnt need to be fast and thus you might have enough creatures at a safer point anyway. just like flash of insight isnt needed if you want to do it protected anyway. and hey its gone too...
