An idea I'm currently working on. This is just another modern Midrangey build which is, I hope, rather original.

I love Courser of Kruphix, maybe too much, and I want to try to break it somehow. I also love Abbot of Keral Keep, also too much, and once thought that the two of them could go along pretty well. Maybe not, but who cares? Whatever, the deck was born (at least in my head).

The rest of the deck is filled with either:

• PONY SYNERGIES: Chandra, Pyromaster, Serum Visions, Gitaxian Probe, (Domri Rade should also do make things happen)

• GOODSTUFF: Scavenging Ooze (anti-graveyard + grows + lifegain...), Lightning Bolt (obvious red spell), manlands (The simic one must be really good against control decks)...

• CHARMS: because the Simic one deserve some love too (not so sure about the Temur one though...).

Since we play Temur, we can now fill the deck with other cards as we see fit.

Birds of Paradise allows us to fix the manabase, and dropping a turn 2 Courser/Abbot, or turn 3 Chandra, is nice.

Savage Knuckleblade seems decently modern playable, and turn 2 Knuckle seems quite strong. He is also bolt-proof and can be used as a mana-sink late-game. I want to give him a chance.

Other options are available to us to apply more pressure:

• Tarmogoyf if you're rich (but in that case you'd better play Jund...)
• Huntmaster of the Fells   is a great card (love them flip cards)
• Whatever 5-mana-hasty-dragon as a metagame-dependant powerhouse.
• Whatever you want to play (I'd like to try Knuckle, but anything that's good enough could be relevant...)

I could add more counterspells, but they don't seem good with Courser (surprise! Not so much...) AND Abbot (exiling a main-phase Mana Leak is soooooo sad...). Well, that's a matter of perspective and local metagame I suppose...

The sideboard is an example, and should be built accordingly to what's played at your LGS, obviously...

NB: I don't have played the deck that much since I:1) don't like proxies2) don't own all the cardsSo, I don't know how well the deck performs against particular matchups, and I don't even really know if the deck is that good (at least my experience says that I'm pretty sure it would be good enough to be playable at a local level). Most things here are quite theoretical...
