Worried that two Progenitor Mimic and two Stolent Identity aren't enough to make the Biovisionaries worth it.

I have actually changed things around and shortened it from 4 of each, to 3 of each, and now 2 of each. The deck as a whole just works much faster with two of each. I was having speed problems running it at fnm beforehand.

You should have 4 of Experiment One , he can evolve Cloudfin and is a solid first turn one drop. Bioshift and Predator's Rapport are unneeded, I would personally put in Fog over them since evolve needs time more than other decks. Also feel that Zameck Guildmage is rather underwhelming over all. Also have an itchy feeling over Strionic Resonator , I feel like having a monster rather than Strionic in hand will always be superior, even though you can double clone Progenitor or buff up your Hydra.

Really good deck, definitely +1. The only change I would make is swap out 2x Predator's Rapport with something else. Say, 1x Shambleshark and 1x Master Biomancer , but that is really personal taste. I do not really care for using cards that only give me life gain.

Thanks, really appreciate the feedback and the +1. Ive been thinking about siding the Predator's Rapport out, Thinking maybe +1 Master Biomancer and +1 Kalonian Hydra

Great Deck. I love the combos, especially Master Biomancer and Simic Charm

Have you considered undying creatures? I know they are pre-rotation but the extra counters might help, as well as evolving creatures again when they re-enter. Also, Bioshift might work, but I don't know this deck as well as you.

I see Predator's Rapport has been getting a lot of hate, for a good reason. Life gain is a trap, it doesn't actually put you closer to winning. Put in Garruk, Caller of Beasts instead, as he can act as a Savage Summoning not for flash, but for un-counterable creatures, for less mana, and with Gyre Sage and Plasm Capture he shouldn't be too hard to get out. And if you actually ult him, you win, flat out.

Yea the plan right now is -2 Predator's Rapport +1 Kalonian Hydra and +1 garruk. Think its gonna run even better after that. This deck has been doing phenomenal lately, loving it. Thank you guys for the suggestions and feedback.

Great deck build. I'm actually building a deck similar to this one currently.

My one suggestion is to replace Syncopate with Spell Rupture to prevent really early Shock or Doom Blade . It's possible they can redeem Syncopate if they get extra mana out early.

Also, I agree with the others and your decision to drop in another Kalonian Hydra . Increasing draw chance on that card is perfect.

They never stay around, people freak about the regnerate so they deal with him super fast, this deck ends up running better without. Thanks much for the +1

Is this in standard post rotation?

The only thing in this deck that rotates out is Hinterland Harbor which will be replaced by the new dual lands

Thanks for the fast reply. I'm kinda new to magic and have built a few decks but this one looks really fun. How does it fair at fnm?

Another suggestion to a change I just made in my deck: Ranger's Guile instead of the 2x Predator's Rapport in the sideboard. Quick 1 cost save and a buff to a creature too. When added with the other guards in the deck, that 1 extra counter goes a long way.

It holds its own for sure

You might want to spash black for Corpsejack Menace

September 6, 2013 7:41 p.m.

JadEgg says... #25

If anything I'd splash black for more removal...as there is nearly 0 here. I like the deck, and I played something similar back when gatecrash first came out, but I find the lack of removal very unnerving. Without splashing black, you have Rapid Hybridization which isn't permanent removal, but it can turn a nasty bomb into something negligible (and also be removed with Simic Charm if absolutely need be. Next, fight mechanics are all over standard play. Mutant's Prey , Pit Fight and even Hunt the Weak are great spells to ensure your game goes smoothly, even if you have to remove one of your own creatures. Lastly, this deck can be sped up immensely if you just add more card draw. In that regard, Zameck Guildmage is worth being mainboarded in my opinion with the amount of counters this deck sends out.

I've considered rebuilding a deck like this just for the reprint of Door of Destinies . You've got a decent amount of mutants in the deck already to take use of it, but once you get a Master Biomancer down, every card is a mutant, making your beefy creatures even beefier.
