Also in the SB you could put Fade into Antiquity instead of Naturalize . This way you could deal with the gods better.

First off, I agree with darkbeowulf, I think Fade into Antiquity is a better choice than Naturalize , specifically to deal with the the gods, even for the extra mana.

I personally have switched to playing with 2x Prophet of Kruphix and dropped 1x Progenitor Mimic , only because I would prefer to see it. Otherwise I think the mainboard works very well.

Sideboard, I think I would drop the Plasm Capture for another Savage Summoning when dealing with control decks. Maybe drop Dissolve for a 3rd. Or if you are attached to having the 4th Plasm Capture , make it 2x Savage Summoning , 1x Plasm Capture and drop the Dissolve completely.

For sure man, am getting around to it. Good suggestions

D am sorry to tell you this, but Progenitor Mimic doesnt copy counters, not sure if you re counting on that...

"Progenitor Mimic copies exactly what was printed on the original creature and nothing more (unless that creature is copying something else or is a token). It doesn't copy whether that creature is tapped or untapped, whether it has any counters on it or Auras attached to it, or any non-copy effects that have changed its power, toughness, types, color, or so on."

It wouldn't need to copy counters, if you have a master biomancer down when the original and copies enter, they get those counters. Better yet if you copy biomancer you create a bigger and bigger amount of counters added to every creature that enters, plus probably evolving most things on the board.

That's the idea

I was thinking the other day in the Ordeal of Thassa and the Ordeal of Nylea .

They will give you the oportunity of put +1/+1 counters or with 3 counters already on the creature they will give you card or land advantage for early drops.

The problem is that I don't know what to put aside.

Any of the born of the gods cards look enticing for you here? Kiora's Follower + Gyre Sage can be some insane mana.

Kiora, the Crashing Wave might be good sideboard.

retraction helix (card slug isn't working) could be Interesting "removal", kind of like Unsummon

Unravel the Aether could be good sideboard, especially because the new Xenagos, God of Revels is going to be a threat.

I haven't really even thought about the but I've been thinking a lot about Unravel the Aether and Kiora, the Crashing Wave for sideboard. Kiora's Follower will 100% find a way into the deck however. Not only the combo with Gyre Sage but combos with Strionic Resonator and Vorel of the Hull Clade is going to make Kalonian Hydra an even bigger threat.

Nice to see an awesome Simic deck, it's definitely my favorite guild and deserves more love than it gets! Thanks for posting this. +1

Though I've still only been playing magic for a few months, I love Simic decks! Just a quick question about your exclusion of Give + Take . Any reason this isn't included? Especially with Vorel of the Hull Clade it could get nasty!

I just don't really need it ya know. The deck works really well and I feel for the most part is complete. Although at one time I did have it in here, it just gradually became unessential I suppose.

I would like to see an updated version of the strategy, by taking out Hinterland Harbor ?

March 6, 2014 2:09 a.m.

Develagent666 says... #14

Also. why the Guild gate, doesn't it some times slow down the deck?

March 6, 2014 2:10 a.m.

mpeach1 says... #15

Hinterland Harbor is not in the deck??

But nah the 2x Simic Guildgate doesn't really seem to slow anything down

March 6, 2014 2:32 a.m.

Develagent666 says... #16

No, but in the turn guide, Hinterland is still the dual land.

Assuming this is a midrange monster aggro deck. Have you tried Mortal's Resolve in the sideboard for board sweep?. Maybe to protect one of the biggest creatures?

i loved my simic deck but i took it apart because there was 1 HUGE flaw in the Evolve mechanic...... and it's in all 3 of the colors you aren't playing... 2 words :board wipe....... also i feel this deck really needs a 2 of Bioshift .

March 11, 2014 1:11 a.m.

mpeach1 says... #20

The shift of bio has come and gone, just isn't as essential as one would think. But yes boardwipes are a problem, but they're a problem for any creature based deck, which is why boardwipes are so essential for control, we just have to deal with them using the tools available

March 11, 2014 1:24 a.m.

darkbeowulf says... #21

How I said before. For boardwipes Mortal's Resolve could be a good option. The problem is that is going to save only one creature.

ups. I notice now that you already made the change in the sideboard.

Sometimes one creature is all we need :)

Aglemor says... #24

Personally think Mizzium Skin is a better choice than Ranger's Guile , simply for the overload ability (the +1/+1 isn't game changing, imo)

Develagent666 says... #25

Did you change the deck?
