I was testing this deck againts mono black devotion de other day and it needs removals. Also there is nothing you could do againts Mutavault .

Suggestions add something like Rapid Hybridization in the sideboard together with Pithing Needle .

Also Mizzium Skin is a lot better than Ranger's Guile but I prefer the fourth Simic Charm in the side and 2 Mizzium Skin .

+1very nice! been working on a little Simic myself. mine's more legacy/casual, and mostly revolves around several different hydras. but, this setup you've got is pretty sweet! check out what i've got. Oh, the Hydras!

Experiment one works better than cloud fin raptor, and Elusive krasis is kinda useless.

Ehhhhh, Experiment One has regenerate, but its targeted faster than Cloudfin Raptor and Cloudfin Raptor has flying, which I prefer over the regenerate because it is not a main creature, its a creature that drops turn one and can become a threat. Elusive Krasis is not useless for 2 reasons, reason 1: this creature evolves every other creature with evolve in the deck (which was one of the original premises of the deck, and I am a sucker for originality) and reason 2: it is unblockable and can become big, because in addition to it evolving everything with evolve, it is also evolved by every creature in the deck other than Cloudfin Raptor . I would suggest giving it a chance and playtesting it before you assume it is kinda useless Develagent666 this deck has been in works for a long time, and it works very well, which is one of the reasons it has achieved so much attention on this site.

But I do appreciate your input.

Question for Strionic Resonator because it might be really good in my deck.

If targeting Kalonian Hydra does it enter with 8 counters, then quadruple counters when it attacks

If targeting Xenagos, God of Revels does it give target creatures +X/+X and haste where X is the creatures toughness times 2.

@ Grabnar : your question about Xenagos, God of Revels is correct, it would get +X and then +X again. with Kalonian Hydra it isn't however, With the hydra, you can activate the Strionic Resonator when Kalonian Hydra attacks, but not when it enters the battlefield, only because when it enters the battlefield it doesn't actually use the phrase "When Kalonian Hydra enters the battlefield", so regardless it would only enter with 4 +1/+1 counters, but when you attack it doubles to 8 and you can activate Strionic Resonator and go from 8 to 16 +1/+1 counters.

Just a though, but if you get put two Kiora's Follower and attach Illusionist's Bracers on them, you get infinite mana.

April 1, 2014 9:21 p.m.

Grimgrinner says... #13

how does the infinite mana work exactly?

April 2, 2014 12:53 a.m.

Winger_77 says... #14

Illusionist's Bracers allows you to copy target non-mana ability. so, when equipped to Kiora's Follower each time you tap a follower, you can untap a land, then use the copied ability to untap itself. thus allowing you to continue the loop until you've untapped as much mana as you need to play the next card(s).

What Winger_77 said.

Bellock86 says... #16

Remember that you have to have 2 Kiora's Follower though. The ability cannot target the same follower. So follower A would be tapped and copied ability you would untap a land follower B. Don't know if that was specified or not. Just throwing it out there.

Oh yeah. Good catch Bellock86.

Which equates to a total of 14 mana used to make this combo work, so it doesn't fit too well for me here, but it is pretty nifty, hadn't thought about it before.

@ SyVake : awesome, looking forward to the results

April 7, 2014 10:06 p.m.

SyVake says... #21

Have you played a lot with it ?

April 8, 2014 12:51 p.m.

mpeach1 says... #22

@ SyVake : Yes, I have played A LOT with it. Its my go to deck for friends, but I haven't been using it much at FNM because I've been using my Esper: I Shut my Eyes and all the World Drops Dead. My friend however has been regularly using this one since he doesn't have a deck, and hes been frequently going 3-1.

Cool thanks man. Since I am on a budget, I need to figure something for the [Kalonian Hydra]. With the new [Heroes' Bane] might be good !

April 9, 2014 6:12 p.m.

mpeach1 says... #24

@ SyVake : Did you have a chance to take this to FNM this weekend?

April 13, 2014 1:34 p.m.

SyVake says... #25
