What do you think about Scrap Trawler and Efficient Construction ? I mean, the first one is a good choice to "blink" and at the same time recover the cards the opponents might destroy...

I am running this deck with Panharmonicon , and I can't find any of the blink cards on this list in my city, do you have other options in mind?

Hey Allffo - thanks for the comment.

I like Efficient Construction but I don't like that's it's 4 CMC, do nothing. So I haven't tried it out yet. It might be that it's actually great in this deck. If you try it, please let me know! I also like Scrap Trawler but the vast majority of the artifacts hitting our graveyard are tokens with 0 CMC and so wouldn't generate any return. It might work as a single-use return "CMC 2 or less" when it hits the graveyard itself, but I'm not sure that's worth a card slot unless you recur it often. I'll have a think though.

As for other blink options, which ones can't you find? I don't really have anywhere near to me to buy/trade in person so I tend to buy online. Is that an option for you?

Hey buddy! Eldrazi Displacer and Brago, King Eternal are both hard to find in stores and online around here...

Also some proliferate might be fun to play with, because it have a lot of planes walkers. It's being pretty fun so far!

I forgot to add: Dockside Extortionist ?

Hey Winther - thanks for the comments. Yeah, Dockside Extortionist is pretty much an auto include I just haven't got around to unpacking my C19 cards yet. The other huge shame (which won't stop me playing him) is there's no foil printing so it feels a bit bad to put a card in that will never be foil while I'm trying to foil the deck out, but c'est la vie!

I will try to take a look at your list if I can.

I'd appriciate that :-)

So how come no Arcum Daggson?

Hey KayneMarco - No specific reason really. I think he'd be really strong in this deck though. I've just personally taken the route of very few tutors. This works well for my particular play group who aren't keen on tutors but if you have them and like them I say throw them in!

I've taken my breya combo deck, and converted it to a list simular to this, focusing on tokens. The hardest part, 100 cards is so hard to fit on all the great stuff!

Goblin Welder + Anointed Procession + Breya + Time Sieve

Almost infinite combo.

very nice deck. Breya seemed quite fun to play with an artifact recursion / token centric gameplan, but I found so many stax or infinite combo versions that wouldnt work in my casual mtg table that I was giving up hope of making her work well, but this list right there feels just right. Might not copy it in its entirety, but I'll be sure to make use of it. TY.

shifthappen1 thanks for the comment! I appreciate it and I know what you mean. Most of the people I play with prefer things a little more casual so the usual combo-centric builds are a bit much for them. However, this deck is really fun to play and not so oppressive. Hope you enjoy some take on it!

I've been 5hinking, since this deck is heavily token based, what are you usually tutoring and/or recuring from the graveyard? There's great utility with daretti and co, but there's no artifact that ends the game right there or is a huge threat all by itself. I guess what I mean is, how do you approach the game when you got tutors and/or recur engines available?

Also, for the control aspect, while there's a bunch of staples, a lot of them don't synergise all that. Have you concidered gettin control stuff that also adds tokens like Bake into a Pie, Spell Swindle, Confirm Suspicions, and others? And/or, using artifact based blinks like Voyager Staff or Tawnos's Coffin, or more artifact based control like Spine of Ish Sah, Duplicant, or a bunch of others.

Gosh, so many options, it'll take a while for me to decide how to actually build my version.

Hey shifthappen1! I'll try to answer your questions...

I actually removed most of the tutors from this deck because when you run them the temptation is to always gun for your combo pieces and I wanted this to be a little less linear. I have combos in there, but they mostly synergise with the thopter tokens and I only really use them if I draw into them rather than digging to win. So yeah, I can't give much advice on tutoring as I don't tend to do it in this deck any more!

As for things like Bake into a Pie and Spell Swindle - these are fun, and I actually used to run some of them, but they're all generally much more expensive than the alternatives, even if the alternatives don't have the synergy you mentioned. I'd generally rather run a 1 mana Swords to Plowshares or 2 mana Counterspell instead as there's lots of ways to make the tokens without nerfing your control. The same can be said for the other cards you mentioned. They'd all work well here, but they're just not optimal! I think depending on your playgroup and local meta, you could easily swap in the more artifact-based cards you mentioned but they wouldn't work so well where I usually play.

Hope that makes sense!

Any update with the recent sets?

Skyclave Relic and Lithoform Engine looks like they are worth testing, anything else worthy of note?

So happy to see you keeping updates on this deck up :-)

Could Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas not be a neat wincon for you as well with the sheer volume of artifacts you generate?

Hey shifthappen1 and Winther. TSorry for my really slow responses. I am finally back with a few deck tweaks to try and smoothen things out, and add a few more foils!

I like Skyclave Relic for sure, but 6 mana for a kicked mana rock that then only taps for 3 on that turn is a little rough. I also didn't open one, so I will keep it in the "maybe" pile for now. Lithoform Engine is clearly a great card but again it's really quite a lot of mana for a more versatile Strionic Resonator (which I have cut from most decks for being too slow).

Lastly I think Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas is a good card in the deck for sure - however while I run a couple of combos in here, I try not to tutor or dig too hard for them. Weirdly, for an artifact deck, there aren't that many actual artifact spells in the deck so his +1 isn't as good as it seems at first. This is a personal preference (I prefer the more varied/inconsistent play style in these kinds of decks) but you could definitely put it in.

Anyway, I'm still keeping my eyes open for more treasure cards and foils so watch this space!
