Paper Pauper UG Bloodbriar Illusion Tribal
Simic Bloodbriar + Phantasmal Bear = Cobbled Wings!

Starring, Brian.

Tempt your opponent with the tribe that dies to removal... and everything else, too.

  • Phantasmal Bear, Gossamer Phantasm and Illusionary Servant are all Illusions that must be sacrificed any time they are targeted by anything.
  • Bloodbriar gets bigger every time you sacrifice something, thus every time your opponent removes one of the above creatures, they will cause you to trigger Brian.
  • For support and back-up on the 'field, Krovikan Mist gets bigger the more Illusions you control, and Veiling Oddity will add to that Illusion-count, as well as make all your creatures unblockable for a turn.
  • If your opponent thinks they can avoid temptation by simply not removing your creatures, then you can remove them with Cobbled Wings, Runed Stalactite and Tooth of Chiss-Goria. The Tooth uses the word "target," so it will obviously cause you to sacrifice your Illusions if you use it on them. As for the Equipment, equipping is an ability that targets a creature, thus they will also help you sac' your own dudes.
  • Additionally, during the mid- to late-game, you can put the Cobbled Wings and Runed Stalactite on Brian to give him flying/evasion and help add to your Illusion-count. The Tooth can also be used to get extra damage in once Brian or Krovikan Mist successfully attacks.
  • In addition to the three Artifacts mentioned above, Seat of the Synod and Tree of Tales are also included to help with the Tooth's Affinity for artifacts.
  • Vessel of Nascency and Opt should help you draw what you need.
  • As with all Brian-based decks, Evolving Wilds is included because it triggers Brian and fixes your mana.
  • Transguild Promenade is included as an experiment because I almost made this deck three-color (Sultai, ). Early game it might help with mana fixing, late game you can just refuse to pay the and get a free Brian-trigger at the "cost" of land-play. We'll see.
