Oh, it's Tatsumasa, the Dragon's Fang... A pretty bad card on t's own, but really beautiful. :p

Any deas to improve the deck? I'm still working on the sideboard. :)

I would possibly suggest Relic of Progenitus in the sideboard, and perhaps Drown in Sorrow for Affinity? Dismember might be nice against the Abzan decks and their Siege Rhinos, although you might have enough removal to deal with it already.

You sir, have created the greatest deck ever to grace the format of modern.

Auri thanks for the tips, exept Dismember everything you suggested is going to be added in the sideboard. :)

Rejex you sir, deserve my greatest gratitude for this beautiful comment.

What do you think of adding more Mirran Crusader? He can't be targeted by Abrupt Decay (the most dangerous threat I can face in the current meta), and double strike is pretty relevant with the swords abilities. I also thought of putting some Phyrexian Crusader in the sideboard aginst burn decks. :)

How many matches are in your favor? Like how do you fair against Affinity, Burn, Junk, and like Splinter Twin and Scapeshift

Looks sweet! +1ed

MurderHood: I have yet to get the cards/print the proxies to test it against those match-ups. All I can say for now is that burn and affinity are pretty hard and intense, and it's pretty good against combo or control decks, since I know what they're up to most of the time. Junk is easy, unless your opponent has a playset of Abrupt Decay, which is actually the biggest threat I can encounter, second only to Blood Moon.

Thanks, Babafaba! :)

I'm not sure how I feel about this, but thought I'd suggest Seraph Sanctuary.

It offers a small amount of lifegain when your Geist Attacks and the 3-4 life you gain could keep you out of Bolt range.

LordJello: I'm playing only 2 Geist, so it might just disturb my mana base for not that much... Thanks for the tip tho, this is exactly the kind of advices I need: often forgotten cards that do not see a lot of modern play, but are still pretty good and original (and budget, too x) )!

Cartel Aristocrat could be good with all of your tokens and your swords.

oh, and +1

bananamaniaman that's an interesting choice, but I'm not sure if it could be that good here since I do not use any death trigger here. An alive token would be better here, and I've already got anough protection from my crusaders and swords, I think. But since it's a drop 2, the Aristocrat is going to the maybeboard. Thank you for the suggestion :)

I would find a way to run Path to Exile in your main deck, maybe take out 1 esper charm or go for the throat?

Telepathy is pretty loose in modern, sure the information you get from their hand is nice but its nowhere near as powerful as gitaxian probe. I'd consider switching it for the probe.

First, I love Esper, one of the most fun of color combo's. This made me laugh so hard when I was reading it that I had to +1 it. The second thing is, why are there no Celestial Colonnade? I understand that you can't grab it with a fetch, but it can be such a great beater late game. The third and final thing is why Phyrexian Crusader? You don't run other infect in the deck, i understand that he can hold swords and having pro green, red, and whatever the sword gives is fun, but i think a 2nd Mirran Crusader, or a Snapcaster Mage would serve you better.

Great deck idea!

Thank you all for that flood of suggestion, everything here is extremly helpful! :D

kizer5: I think I've got enough removals, and even if the Path is great, I prefer Vapor Snagto it since it force your opponent to lose precious time replaying his creature. ;)

samuraizack: I argued not so long ago with someone about that, and both cards are great. But since Telepathy isn't played at all these times, I want to give it a try in competitive games and see what comes from it. When I used to play more casually, this card had the ability to wreck games since the vision you have is permanent: you can't be fooled by your opponent and you can't waste your counterspells. But it's not a 0-cost card and it does not give us a free card; and since it's a great card on a long-term vision it might not be that useful in a 4-turns format. But, like I said, I want to give it a try. But, most likely, Gitaxian Probe will take its place in the future. :)

cvandorn: yeah, it seems out of the place here and, to say, he belongs to the sideboard. His strengh relies in this double protection that wrecks burn decks, and with a blade he kills pretty fast. But, against other decks I will prefer by far the Mirran Crusader because of his double strike. It's incredible when paired with a sword! I'll remove the Phyrexian from the MB (maybe along with Brimaz, since he can survive a Lightning Bolt but isn't as helpful as this). I really love Snappy the snapcaster, and I have to find a room for him too! Last but not least, I used to run Celestial Colonnade in the first shot of the deck (2 copies), but I almost never activated this incredible ability of its. In my opinion, Creeping Tar Pit is far better: unblockable, and cost only 6 mana: for the same price as the COlonnades, I can activate it and attach a sword to it to make sure I'm able to untap my lands or draw an additionnal card. Maybe more of it will come, but its unlikely for the Celestial Colonnade. Thanks again! :D

I'm with kizer5 on this one. You really want the path. Vapor Snag gives your opponent the choice to replay his creature or just move on with his strategy, while Path to Exile doesn't give him any choice at all. So basically, Path to Exile completely takes away a threat, while Vapor Snag just delays it.

The drawback for path and the one life with vapor snag is mostly irrelevant since it's just one life, and getting rid of a huge threat is much more important than the drawback of giving them a land.

The concept is fine but for a deck it needs focus which this is lacking

bananamaniaman: I do love democracy, so I'll trust you guys and switch Vapor Snag and Go for the Throat for two Path to Exile. ;)

wardoge: this might be a common point for every single deck I create. My three favorite decks do not have a lot of 4-of-kind. This fact seems to prove a lack of consistency, but when you look at it there are a lot of cards who shares the same goal but does not have the same effects. It allows me to have a better flexibility during a game. :)

I actually really like the almost toolbox-y 1-of 2-of build. You will most likely take people by surprise, and if you're lucky they'll bring in SB cards to combat a card that you only have 1 or 2 of in the deck :)

I really think this list could benefit from 2 Snapcasters. He just brings too much to the table to not include. Also, with the variety of Instants you run I would consider (and I know it sounds odd) a single Mystical Teachings. It lets you find a number of answers, and in the long game against Control or whathaveyou the flashback nets you extra value. I played an Esper control deck (it was gifts, but a very similar shell) and the lone teachings really shone through many times. Plus, if you include snap, you can pay for a very expensive reuse of any spell in your yard!

Seriously, though, I do like the build. Hopefully those suggestions help.

Thanks Jay, it's the first time a legend of Tappedout comments one of my decks! :D

I think Brimaz, King of Oreskos and a land are going to trade their places for some Snoopies. What would you remve for the Mystical Teachings? I'm thinking of Supreme Verdict. Yeah, it's a great card but its function is usually to shut down decks like this one, so... x')
