Hmmm thats definately doable. Aight i have a slot in my deck (well 2 actually) that this can work into. Should I replace the abzan falconers with it as well? Im already planning to cut two more lands from mainboard to sideboard (i think that we have too many lands. So that would equate to 4 in the mainboard.

Thank You so much!

The major problem with auras is that oftentimes they're not as efficient as just playing another creature and you lose 2 cards for one removal spell, however your deck forces your opponent to remove creatures early, exhausting their removal, and when you can finally play it, it's an excellent finisher, they'll often set up blockers so they don't die to your next attack, but little do they know that you have a 15/15 next turn!

No problem. And in my experience, when you have managorger with trample, and especially when you have 4 Skyrider elf which already has flying, you don't need the falconers. Maybe sideboard a couple just in case, but you would get more value from other similar cards. Abzan Battle Priest for example. 2 facts about your deck and lifelink: 1. You're susceptible to aggro which will put you behind, but you can catch right back up in one turn with lifelink. 2. Huge creatures make lifelink more worth it

Cheers

I keep making lots of comments but they might help, heh. Another idea is to perhaps swap out a couple Feat Of Resistance for a couple Inspiring Call. It's one more mana but it applies to all of your creatures, saving you from a board wipe, and then you get to draw cards

Hmm gotcha. After some brewing I had 2 Abzan Battle Priests sideboard but then swapped them in favor of Lantern Scouts. Honestly, I haven't run into a situation where I would need either of them --yet-- but I like lantern scout over battle priest since it guarantees lifelink for 1 turn assuming it resolves. The issue I have with battle priest is in agro, it can just get wild slashed or whatever and then its dead. If I am hoping to gain enormous sums of life or else I die and my battlepriest gets burned before damage, then I'm a deadman. I used to also run Inspiring Call but I never saw it get any play. My deck is a lot different now though, and you prove a point with how board wipes could kill this deck easily. So, I will throw a few back into the sideboard, maybe one or two mainboard. And you totally sold me on gleam of authority. Seems lke a great card for this deck. I appreciate it!

Would you be interested in deck suggestions to test this against as a golden standard, or feedback from a strange angle that may or may not work? If so, I'll be happy to give both! +1 for the neat/funny deck idea. ;)

I will take whatever advice! A lot of great things have come out of something that may or may not have worked xD

At first glance, I'd say Brave the Sands would be a good addition, and possibly Reflector Mage. I had a really awkward thought that might just be brilliant. Have you thought of Eldrazi Displacer for interference with their blocking and, primarily, late-game boosting Avatar of the Resolute?

The best decks I'd suggest to test it against, if you can, are my current two decks and my friend's current two standard decks. ~SGTbacon15. If you can outrun his Mardu deck, you can beat Modern Grixis Control and Blue Tron. I'll honestly be impressed if anything can knock that out.

As for other advice, I'll put up deck lists for a couple of mine you might want to look at. The G/W Wall deck could throw out some good ideas as well. They'll summarize what it'll take me a while to dredge up here, in case you want to start a bit sooner.

Hmm I'm not entirely sold on the whole Eldrazi Displacer or Brave the Sands idea. I think it may work with a lot of other added components, but I'm not sure its an entirely viable idea. Eldrazi Displacer would effectively be able to tap down creatures my Dromoka's Command can't get, but those creatures would be like Siege Rhinos, which would zap me on re-entry. As for brave the sands, I would rather go in on Gleam of Authority mostly because typically the battlefield is well controlled when my deck is performing optimally, rendering the blocking an extra creature useless, and allowing me to buff m big creatures indefinitely. As for Reflector Mage I think it is a very viable card, especially in the sideboard. Being able to bounce those siege rhinos for two turns would be an incredibly useful tool. So, I will start brewing with them this week and see if it is a viable card for FNM! Thank you so much for your suggestions!

Indeed! I would say sideboard it, in games where you need the ability to block with 17/17 Managorger Hydras you just attacked with - you have a good point about fitting in extra combat pressure. My main reason to suggest Eldrazi Displacer is that, while playing Avatar of the Resolute in my own tests, it feels wrong to lose value from it by playing it early. Does that happen to you often enough that 1x or 2x Eldrazi Displacer would let you play them early for powerful attacks, and later ramp them up by simply bouncing them to the battlefield?

Hmm that is a very good point. I too find myself very often playing an avatar turn too with no added counters. Eldrazi displaced could be a good sideboard card for that. Mostly because mainboarding it is a bit pontless since the avatars get whipped out mostly against aggro. Good idea!

Skyrider Elf seems like a must have in this deck.. 3/3 with flying is pretty good.. if you had way more fetches id say add a swamp dual that you could fetch to help woodland wanderer and skyrider if you used it
