Since Kozilek's Return was spoiled, I've wanted to re-visit playing a ramp deck. This is my take on the / ramp shell with the addition of a few cards from Oath of the Gatewatch.

The 2 big Eldrazi titans Kozilek, the Great Distortion and Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger alone are difficult for a lot of decks to overcome, let alone being backed up by World Breaker and Ugin, the Spirit Dragon

Stompy Stompy Show

These are the pay off cards which (we hope) our opponent can't deal with

World Breaker - Added in to the mainboard after I picked up a few before FNM, this card is a lot stronger than it appears on the surface. It is one of the most efficient ways to cast Kozilek's Return from the graveyard, always has a target to exile (bye bye lands!) and can block annoying flyers like Mantis Rider. Recursion is a bonus in the long games.

Ugin, the Spirit Dragon - A planeswalker that can win a game on his own. Ugin can act as a boardwipe for most troublesome creatures / permanents the turn he comes down. Otherwise can be used to continually bolt your opponent's face and get a large life / card advantage.

Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger - At the very least Ulamog will 3-for-1 your opponent when it is cast as it exiles 2 permanents and demands an answer. Wins the game over 2-3 turns if he sticks.

Kozilek, the Great Distortion - This card also ends the game very quickly. Although the big body and menace is pretty good, getting a full hand of cards and giving you access to counter-magic is a god-like. Works well vs a lot of 3-mana removal (like Crackling Doom or Foul-Tongue Invocation ) as a lot of our ramp cards cost 3 as well.

Rampy Rampy Show

To speed up the time it takes to get to our big win conditions, there is a number of ramp / tutor spells.

Rattleclaw Mystic - Nice early ramp which color fixes and allows for turn 3 Explosive Vegetation. 2/1 body helps block an attack here or there.

Nissa's Pilgrimage - Tutors for 2 (sometimes 3) Forest cards from our deck, placing one of them on to the battlefield and the others in your hand. Useful for ramping and then ensuring that the following turn(s) has a land drop.

Explosive Vegetation - Straight forward ramp spell which takes 2 basic lands out of the deck and puts them straight on the battlefield.

Hedron Archive - Colorless mana source which also acts as late-game card draw.

Nissa's Renewal - Ramp spell which takes 3! basic lands out of the deck and places them directly on the battlefield, while also gaining a decent amount of like. "Combos" very well with turn 4 Explosive Vegetation in to turn 5 Nissa's Renewal in to turn 6 Win Con.

Support Cards Show

Won't win games on their own, but these cards help us stay in the game long enough to reach our big pay off cards

Hangarback Walker - Hopefully something to play on turn 2. Helps block aggressive creatures in the early game and can also act as a secondary win condition.

Kozilek's Return - New addition from OGW - This instant speed, devoid board wipe is a god-send for ramp decks. Not only does this keep the ground clear of small creatures when cast, but clears the battlefield of larger creatures after we cast one of the Eldrazi win conditions.

Chandra, Flamecaller - Ends games very quickly and helps to act as another boardwipe vs 3 and 4 toughness creatures.

Non-Basic Land Show

Not much to be said about the land base as it is mostly basic lands, however the following are included to help with deck synergy:

Sanctum of Ugin - Colorless mana producer which can also help us fetch up a back-up Win Con.

Shrine of the Forsaken Gods - Getting to 7 lands in this deck is usually pretty easy, so Shrine helps ramp us up to our Win Cons by an extra turn or 2. Also produces colorless mana.

SideBoard Show

With the meta due to shift since the addition of new cards, the side board still has a look of gaps to be filled.

Display of Dominance - Useful card to be used offensively or defensively against decks with Blue or Black spells. Mainly used to kill Jace, Telepath Unbound   or stop Ulamog from being exiled by Utter End or Abzan Charm

Rending Volley - Cheap, un-counterable removal for White or Blue creatures like Mantis Rider or Dragonlord Ojutai, or an active shambling vents.

Nissa, Vastwood Seer   - A great addition vs the control match ups. Nissa comes down early, tutors up a forest to play and gives a good board / card advantage.

Thought-Knot Seer - Useful in combo or control match ups by providing information on our opponent's hand and removing the largest threat from it.

Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger - Another Ulamog in the board for the mid-range match ups.

Void Winnower - Lol you can't event! A one-of that I'm experimenting with. Locks out a large portion of spells being cast by our opponents while still ending games quickly. Impotent to note that tokens (which have 0 cmc) can't block it.

Jaddi Offshoot - Moved to the sideboard to combat aggressive decks. More and more people seem to be picking up mid-range or control decks so Offshoot is less useful game 1.

Kozilek's Return - Another 1 in the side to complete the playset. Hoses down aggressive decks and still useful against mid-range creature decks.

Desolation Twin - Decent card on it's own vs any control decks and something else to bring in vs Infinite Obliteration.

Chandra, Flamecaller - Another one in the board vs control decks or where 3-damage boardwipes are needed.

Maybeboard Show

Other cards that I've considered adding.

Map the Wastes - Another ramp spell which gets any basic land. Only sorcery speed but the 'bolster' effect is not entirely useless as it makes Jaddi Offshoot a bigger blocker and has synergy with Hangarback Walker.

Ruin in Their Wake - Almost as good as Sylvan Scrying but becomes one of the cheapest ramp spells in standard if the deck has enough Wastes.
