Trying an abzan deck for standard centered around Marionette Master. This deck has gone through a number of iterations initially including Tamiyo's Journal but I found that I wanted other heavier costing cards in that spot instead. There's some early mana ramping and clue generation to ultimately finish with Marionette Master but I found she was not necessarily a win-con all of the time and I just beat down the opponent with my creatures on the board instead.

Named in honor of originally planning this deck to be an Esper build for Blue's Clues. Also my love for Dr. Steve Brule given the opportunity to "Check it out!" whenever I investigate. The spooky pruppets from Marionette and hanging out with a couple of hunks (Gearhulks).

I'm going to put a pin in this deck until Aether Revolt comes out and probably make a new deck once I see all of those cards. I went to each of my local Standard Game Days and faced against most of the top archetypes and even some off the wall meta decks. I believe this current iteration is the most boiled down it can be after all of the matches. I managed to go 6-1-0 during the second to last game day with this deck but most of the time I lost to aggro or dynavolt.

A few thoughts: I really like Cataclysmic Gearhulk. It is at least a nice sideboard card to have because I faced against some pretty nasty board states. Lilianna, The Last Hope would be more than 1 copy if budget was not a concern. Most of the matches I had with her she helped me sneak in the win. Conversely, if she was played by my opponent first I found they typically won instead.
