I agree with you to a certain extent: I'd rather have the guise in duels than pods. I like the Mantle in multiplayer mainly because it offsets a lot of the random pokes that I receive. (It is my weakest aura and will probably be cut for Guise)

Okay that makes sense. I've been playing bruna in 1v1 for a while now.
June 25, 2014 4:04 a.m.
Is there a reason you don't run Steel of the Godhead and Eldrazi Conscription . With Bruna, both are revolting.
July 11, 2014 10:14 a.m.
Eldrazi Conscription is already in the deck. I had Steel before but I cut it since Protective Bubble already achieved the desired effect.

Hmm, calling it her personal wasteland, and not including Wasteland seams kinda odd, maybe you could get a proxy/alter of her in wastelands art for the deck. Remand would be much better as Venser, Shaper Savant because he can technically 'counter' an uncounterable spell, whereas remand cannot. Celestial Mantle can be game-breaking in some cases. Daybreak Coronet is always good in these sort of strategies.

I don't own a Wasteland ... yet; the metaphor comes from the idea of land-nuke/resource denial to seal a victory in a multiplayer setting. Remand is a counterspell used for tempo/1-turn delay before I crush somebody. In that regard, I prefer it as a 2-mana spell than 4 because I can delay early game ramp. I have considered Venser, but it would not be swapped in the place of Remand and there is also the notion that I lack ways to recur/bounce him back. I used to run Celestial Mantle (with Sunbond ) but my meta lacks decks that seek to aggro outside of General Damage, Daybreak Coronet is a solid aura, but it would require two attacks/blocks (combination) to get it on Bruna; too slow.

I will say this though, I am now considering getting my basics altered to have art like Wasteland and putting a cowboy hat on Bruna lol. But the whole Wasteland idea was based around the fact that I like to keep boards clear :p

Your deck looks pretty powerful. In fact, it has a lot of things I think my play group would frown on and cause things to turn into a 1v3. : P
I recently added Assault Suit to my Bruna deck (Bruna, Light of Alabaster: the Aura Crux) as an anti-sacrifice measure after a bad experience with a Woebringer Demon coming back every turn. It's probably not enough, but hey, my deck is a bit more casual.
November 10, 2014 11:11 p.m.
I'm trying to incorporate the cards that are currently in the maybeboard, so I'm glad that the Assault Suit is seeing some love. I'm definitely considering Assault Suit over my copy of Swiftfoot Boots because of the anti-sac measure and the political power that the suit provides. I play in a super competitive meta so I'm usually not everybody's first target; but in other metas, I appreciate the challenge of a 1v3 ;)

To respond to Kitty, I am fine on the aura-count now. It's already been mathed out to be the best setup offensive-wise taking into account that I tutor 1 or 3 auras at a time. Steel of the Godhead was replaced by Spectra Ward because of the new Arcane Lighthouse and the fact that its effect dodges removal AND makes her "unblockable" to most things (although I usually just trample over people in the first place).
I may consider running Celestial Mantle with Sunbond because of the double-strike shenanigans but it seems like overkill considering that double strike + Eldrazi Conscription is already 30 GD over peoples' heads with Corrupted Conscience available and/or Auramancer's Guise (which is good aura because it gives 6 power with 3 auras attached onto Bruna - so any two "offense" auras and either Diplomatic Immunity or Spectra Ward will result in a 1 shot if it directly connects for 11 or 13 infect in that case).
tl;dr I keep auras to a minimum because this deck is very good at tutoring them up. The only aura that I want to add is Vanishing so I'm trying to find space for it.

Curious as to why Windswept Heath and Polluted Delta are included in the lands list instead of just the basic lands when Crucible of Worlds isn't being played?
December 5, 2014 4:08 p.m.
It's not bad, but it's not worth the slot to me. I do like the Titan interaction because it has other uses, but that's all Crucible would secure.

Vanishing is something I'm considering replacing Flickerform with in my Bruna deck. Lower activation, more obscure (so opponents know less). +1 from me!
December 23, 2014 7:11 p.m.
Thank you! Vanishing also has the added bonus of not falling prey to Containment Priest since it doesn't re-enter the battlefield unlike Flickerform! Just something to keep in mind

What about Sigil of the Empty Throne for an alternate wincon?
December 24, 2014 3:21 a.m.
You don't "cast" enchantments; you cheat them into play. It's a dead card. If I wanted an alternate win (via 4/4 angels), I'd have a much easier time protecting Luminarch Ascension

not a huge fan of Auramancer's Guise if you only have six auras to enchant bruna in the whole deck. you can easily win without it, so it seems a bit unnecessary, a wasted card slot for more control. for instance you could replace it for Oblation or Akroma's Vengeance and sustain the deck's overall power and value... all in all the only true way to lose an edh game is to let an opponent stockpile a board state, and when there are many alternatives Auramancer's Guise just doesn't seem like the right fit to me. on another note i like the deck +1

So, if everything wasn't foiled, what price point are we talking?
February 28, 2015 4:48 p.m.
You're still looking at close to 1100$ (Force of Will, Mana Crypt and Cryptic Command are the most expensive cards).
The deck foiled (despite what the TCGplayer prices are off to the side) is closer to 1800$.
March 1, 2015 1:54 a.m.
Thank you man! It's been a long time in the making! I am always looking for improvements!
March 22, 2015 11:35 p.m.
How about some loot effects like Frantic Search or Sift? Good dig and gets rid of things you don't need.
March 28, 2015 3:35 a.m.
The thing with loot effects is that I can end up in situations where I would have an awkward discard step where i will pain me to discard any of the choices in my hand even after drawing. Of course, if I have an aura to discard, that's great! But if I don't, I could end up discarding things that I would rather not.
I think that I need a bit more draw, however. Granted, I have Recurring Insight Fact or Fiction and Sphinx's Revelation in the deck along with other cards that work out to card advantage or cantrip, but maybe one or two more draw effects would be stellar. It would also let me justify putting Reliquary Tower back in the deck. I am open to suggestions for anything other than Consecrated Sphinx.

I'd consider replacing Celestial Mantle with something else. Because you only need to hit once to win, it's arguably the worst of your auras. Auramancer's Guise is a possible replacement, because it has the advantage of one-shotting an opponent with Battle Mastery and any other aura.
