Bruse, Silas, and Sunforger Edh

Sunforger commander decks usually run Silas Renn, Seeker Adept and Akiri, Line-Slinger as their commanders of choice. This would make sense if Sunforger edh was an artifacts matters deck. It isn’t though. Sunforger is a spellslinger deck where only one artifact matters and that’s Sunforger . This makes Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder a better commander because he doubles Silas Renn, Seeker Adept ’s damage triggers, thus allowing you to return two artifacts.

Angel's Grace : Tutorable by Sunforger to prevent loosing the game. I’m currently thinking about running Ad Nauseam for an instant win.

Boros Charm : Make your board indestructible against boardwipes to make them one sided. Tutorable by Sunforger . Otherwise it can be used to give something double-strike or get in a few points of damage.

Council's Judgment : Tutorable by Sunforger for removal.

Teferi's Protection : Keep yourself from losing the game. Tutorable with Sunforger .

Anguished Unmaking : Tutorable spot removal that hits anything nonland.

Vindicate : More tutorable spot removal that hits anything.

Master Warcraft : Make opponents attack or not block. Good card tutorable by Sunforger

Dawn Charm : Mainly used as a Fog .

Chance for Glory : Take an extra turn for more damage. Also makes your stuff indestructible which is nice.

Kolaghan's Command : Op card in modern. Same in edh. It hits rocks and recurs stuff.

Wear/Tear: Versatile card tutorable by Sunforger .

Supreme Verdict : Uncounterable and tutorable.

Utter End : Even more tutorable removal that gets rid of most stuff.

Stoneforge Mystic : Finds Sunforger or another equipment. You can get it onto the field for cheaper without casting it if you're worried about countermagic. Probably one of the best equipment tutors.

Relic Seeker : Gets you an equipment one time if you can connect with an opponent. Not all that great but it can find you Sunforger eventually.

Trophy Mage : Finds you Sunforger or one of your other three drops.

Recruiter of the Guard : Can find you a combo piece such as Puresteel Paladin .

Imperial Recruiter : Basically the same as Recruiter of the Guard except red.

Hoarding Dragon : Finds you an artifact when it dies. It's alright.

Stonehewer Giant : Repeatable tutor? Yes please! This finds you an equipment, and then equips it! Amazing card.

Godo, Bandit Warlord : Finds an equipment and puts it directly into play. Also combos with Helm of the Host .

Tezzeret the Seeker : Basically just in here to find Sunforger . If you need to use it later it ramps nicely and can possibly be used as a finisher.

Imperial Seal : A flexible tutor for two life.

Vampiric Tutor : A better version of Imperial Tutor as it is an instant.

Mystical Tutor : Mainly for finding your non red or white instants and sorcery spells.

Personal Tutor : Used mainly to find a tutor for Sunforger although it can also find a Toxic Deluge or another boardwipe in a pinch.

Enlightened Tutor : Find a mana rock or Sunforger at instant speed.

Steelshaper's Gift : Find your Sunforger and put it directly into your hand.

Gamble : One of the worse tutors in the deck although it does pull directly into your hand.

Demonic Tutor : Find any card for two. Edh staple that any deck running black should run.

Open the Armory : Basically a more expensive Steelshaper's Gift . Not a bad card.

Dack Fayden : Steals mana rocks and filters through your draws. If you make it to the ultimate, well, you are playing a spellslinger deck.

Sword of Fire and Ice : Protection from red and blue is great. The combat damage triggers are doubled with Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder so you actually draw two and deal four damage.

Rhystic Study : Amazing card for edh. This card has drawn me new hands in single turns, especially when people forget that they can pay one (this really only works on paper magic but it happens).

Timetwister : Disrupt your opponent’s plans for their graveyards. It also gets rid of their hands so if they just drew a ton of cards they’re out of luck.

Wheel of Fortune : More hand disruption tutor able by Sunforger . Also usable for a wheel effect if you need one.

Ojutai's Command : Reanimation, Essence Scatter , or draw all in one.

Dig Through Time : Delving seven is easy with Sunforger .

Treasure Cruise : Same deal as with Dig Through Time . Easy Ancestral Recall .

Puresteel Paladin : This card allows you to pay the cheap price of two mana to activate Sunforger by making it’s equip cost free.

Leonin Shikari : This card lets you re-activate Sunforger at instant speed.

Kazuul's Toll Collector : An ok card. Basically a backup Puresteel Paladin .

Shimmer Myr : Play artifacts at instant speed. Doesn’t necessarily help abuse Sunforger but it’s still pretty good.

Paradox Engine : So this can be a combo with Sunforger Out. You cast a card with a few mana rocks and either Puresteel Paladin or Kazuul's Toll Collector on the field (eg. Mox Opal and Mox Diamond ). Casting the card allows you to untap your mana rocks. Then re-equip your Sunforger and repeat.

Mana Drain : Another edh staple in terms of counter-magic.

Delay : Two mana counterspell that I consider to be better than counterspell because a card in the graveyard can be Reanimate d or Snapcaster Mage d to just re-cast.

Absorb : Counterspell out. Absorb is tutor able via Sunforger for an unexpected counterspell.

Render Silent : Took out Esper Charm . It may be ok in modern but it's a slot that works much better for a tutor able counterspell like Render Silent .

Cyclonic Rift : Nothing is more devastating than an end step Cyclonic Rift . Another auto include for decks running blue.

Vindicate : More tutorable spot removal that hits anything.
