Commander: Plains

A horde deck featuring... the one and only Brushwagg!Brushwagg! Here's the rules based off of Saljen's.Horde Magic

Horde Magic is a co-op or single player version of magic where you (the survivor) play an EDH deck (or regular deck if you chose) and you are versing a 100 card deck that auto-pilots itself.

Rules:The amount of Survivors (players) determines the amount of cards in the Horde's deck, the amount of preparation turns the Survivors get before the Horde begins to attack, and the amount of health the Survivor's team has. Preparation turns are full turns that Survivors take one after another before the Horde deck gets to play. You cannot attack during Preparation turns.

Players:(1) - 50 Card Deck, 3 Prep turns, 40 life

(2) - 75 Card Deck, 2 Prep turns, 40 life

(3) - 100 Card Deck, 2 Prep turns, 40 life

(4) - 100 Card Deck, 1 Prep turn, 40 life

BossThe Horde deck also has a Boss card. This card remains in the Command zone until there are no cards remaining in the Horde's library. When the Horde's library is empty the boss card is automatically placed on the field and cannot be countered.

How to startThe game begins with each player taking his/her Preparation turns. Each turn is taken consecutively and each player takes their turn at the same time, similar to the Two Headed Giant format. After Preparation turns are finished, the Horde takes its first turn.

Horde TurnsThe Horde's turn begins by drawing a card. If this card is a token card, then the Horde draws again. The Horde continues to draw until it draws a non-token card, then plays all drawn cards (tokens are placed directly onto the battlefield and cannot be countered) one at a time in the order they were drawn. Each non-token card is placed onto the stack before resolving and can be interacted with or countered as if the spells were played from the Horde's hand. The Horde's minions all have haste and attack each turn if able. Any card that requires the Horde to make a decision (ie: target something) is made randomly with a die roll or coin flip, whichever is more appropriate. If something causes the Horde to draw, whether something cast from the Horde's deck or something a Survivor has cast, the horde will draw the required cards and they will be placed onto the battlefield at the beginning of the Horde's next upkeep.

WinningSurvivors win when the Horde deck has no cards remaining in its library, no cards in hand, and controls no creatures. The Horde wins when the Survivor's life total becomes 0 or all players have run out of cards in their library. The Horde has no life total, all damage is dealt to the Horde's deck in the form of milling.

*Note that there are general rules for Horde magic, but it is a new format and is not completely tested. You may adjust things like the size of the deck, life totals, or individual cards in the deck to make the horde more difficult or easier depending on your environment. The rules I listed here are the ones that me and my play group play by and they work well. Also note that when changing the size of the deck, you may either remove specific cards to keep balance or you may just shuffle the deck and remove the required amount of cards. This is a casual format, so either is fine.

Another thing to mention is that the horde has potentially unlimited mana, which will automatically be spent on cost to attack cards like Sphere of Safety or Propaganda.
