I added my version of your deck to my page. It can be found here: Post-Rotation Bestow Aggro. I credited you in the description for the original build. Really loving the deck. Also, I would really suggest Athreos, God of Passage in your deck. It is only three mana, and forces your opponent to take damage or give your creatures back.

You're right. Dropping green seems very viable. : )

What do you think about Underworld Coinsmith as an additional way to gain life? It seems like a good way to blunt the damage from pain lands.

I don't think it's really necessary... :P

Back to Nature Destroys this deck. Maybe consider some indestructibility? Ajani's Presence etc

+1 for the deck and +1 for the coment about Back to Nature . I run a Dictate of Erebos and Agent of the Fates deck and I get it a lot against G.

+1 love the deck b/w aggro is my favorite. but no athreos? i feel like athreos would have fun here especially with all the creatures you have.

I like the deck a lot and i agree this shit is brutal but as far as sideboard i kinda feel like Bile Blight is better than Ulcerate just because of the potential to deal with multiple creatures at once due to say a Master of Waves or something but also to avoid the life loss. Its kind of nit-picking so if you disagree then its cool its just a personal opinion. +1 from me bro.

money wise im assuming? 3 drop isnt too bad especially considering what he brings to the table. you should put 3 into the mainboard just to test out how he runs and if it works well then work on getting some at FNM

So opponent can play Back to Nature pretty much whip your whole board?

@Scorprix with regards to all of our comments about Back to Nature -- Like I said when I play Green it seems that it comes out a lot. Not sure how but you could always try to find a place for Soul of New Phyrexia as it would be cheaper CMC wise in the long run to protect everything as opposed to striving the Ajani's Presence . Just my two cents but I think that is the main soft spot here. Everything else is solid and brutal.

@basedchef: Yea, its like $10 a piece.

@mailxsz: Did you even read the deck list? ): (

@GhostBall: The problem with soul is that it costs 6 mana to play and 5 mana to trigger. In most games, you don't really get more 5 mana in the first place. : (

What about Scuttling Doom Engine in place of Soul of New Phyrexia ? It doesn't cost anything to trigger, kills elspeths which can be issues for a lot of decks and even if they take care of it it'll hurt a lot.

Atheros would make them think twice about going back to nature. With the devotion you have there's a good chance he will be a creature. Truly brutal deck sir.

Athreos, God of Passage just 7 bucks atm

August 7, 2014 1:02 p.m.

Anger of the gods lol. Still kills most everything in it, while exiling them. And taking three life is nothing to downfall a demon.

i like Tormented Hero over Nyxborn Shieldmate here. while shieldmate is good Tormented Hero is better. thats my opinion though.

August 7, 2014 6:48 p.m.

reptarjesus says... #22

I like Favored Hoplite better than Nyxborn Shieldmate and Tormented Hero he can get really big and avoid all damage for a turn.

August 7, 2014 7:22 p.m.

basedchef says... #23

i think with only 7 cards to activate the heroic ability he's too much of a risk. but Favored Hoplite is good. if it were my deck id use either the hoplite or Tormented Hero @reptarjesus

I really like this deck and how it runs. I am going to build it, I have 3 Athreos spare atm though and would like your thoughts on if he would actually be better or not. If so what 3 creatures would you remove to replace with him?
