@avacynangelofgayness: That's a problem. That's a powerful card against this deck. It's the reason I use so many protection spells. : )
@johnpyp: I removed them for 1 extra land and 3 Ajani's Presence . It helps with consistency.
@basedchef: Thoughtseize is WAAAY to expensive.
@Hills: Yea, he'd be amazing here, he's just to expensive. If I were you I'd cut 3 Ajani's Presence in the MB to give space for them. Then cut 1 Banishing Light from the SB for 1 more Ajani's Presence in there. : )
@reptarjesus: Good idea! I'll try him out. : )

If you're looking for protection... Spectra Ward is a great aura to use

Have you also considered Ajani Steadfast ? He has potential. Still love the deck!

i have come to conclusion that i dont like Mana Confluence because with the caves you are already dealing damage to yourself. granted you do have Whip of Erebos for lifegain you could replace the whip with better cards or maybe even sideboard it. honestly Banishing Light is too good to be sitting in your sideboard.
i say - 4 Mana Confluence +2 Temple of Silence +1 of each Plains and Swamp .
-2Whip of Erebos -1 Master of the Feast +3 Banishing Light .
-3 Master of the Feast +3 Athreos, God of Passage .
Master of the Feast isnt a bad card its great being a 5/5 flyer turn 3, BUT he gives your opponent(s) extra draw power and giving your opponent more cards is never good.

I agree you shouldn't use Mana Confluence , mana fixing shouldn't be that difficult in a 2 color deck. I personally feel like they should only be used in 3+ color decks.

id run as a singleton. i agree its high at 5 mana but running a one of should be fine.

Ok, I loved the idea of this deck when I first saw it, so I built it card for card (without the sideboard)
And I can hold my own pretty well, mind you, I am not winning every game, but I am competitive.
Then I met a few players playing artifact decks based on Scuttling Doom Engine And it threw me for a loop.
I found that removing two Gods Willing
and adding 2 Atheros really made this deck punishing all around as I grabbed things that should have gone in the graveyard at low cost and threw them right back on the table.
I feel that the deck needs some kind of exile / god defense, but am still working with it.

Another idea, keep the Nyxborn, drop Master of Feasts and add Fabled Hero ? Pumping him with all this bestow could make him crazy and then you aren't feeding your opponents hand with master. Also I love the idea of adding Athreos if you can get ahold of one.
